We found the PRS to be higher than the ALS in patients (significantly at baseline, no different at visit 2, and almost significant at visit 3) and controls (almost significantly at baseline and significantly at visit 2).

In this work, we follow Dienes’ recommendation from Understanding Psychology as a Science that determining significance with p-values is an absolute cut-off, and to report only greater or less than the alpha to limit the temptation to interpret anything as “almost significant”, which is not possible under frequentist statistics.
