The principal findings of this analysis were as follows: (1) there was an obvious trend of increased NLR levels in the vulnerable carotid plaque group compared to other groups, (2) NLR levels were positively correlated with the degree of carotid plaque vulnerability, and the stable carotid plaque was more likely to shift to vulnerable carotid plaque with the rise of NLR, and (3) elevated NLR significantly portended an increased risk of vulnerable carotid plaque in AIS patients, and the effect remained after adjusting the classical atherosclerotic risk factors, such as age, sex, diabetes, and blood pressure.
In the present study, among patients aged <70 years, the mortality risk in patients with overweight status or ideal BMI was not significantly higher than that in patients with obesity; however, there was a significantly higher mortality risk in patients with underweight status, and the spline curve for mortality risk showed an obvious trend for higher mortality risk as the BMI decreased.
Then, an obvious trend was shown that in the range of about six to eight carbon atoms; the activity increases with the elongation of the n -alkyl carbon chain of 12- N,N -di- n -alkylaminos, and when there are more than six to eight carbon atoms, the activity decreases with the elongation of the n -alkyl carbon chain.
