In the present study, the effects of upper- and lower-body exercise trials on fat oxidation rates on day 2 were comparable, although differences between the lower-body exercise and control trials did not reach statistical significance (upper-body exercise trial: ES = 0.459, 95%CI 0.00 to 0.03, P = 0.031; lower-body exercise trial: ES = 0.436, 95%CI –0.03 to 0.00, P = 0.061).
The median decreases were 78.1%, 78.5% and 43.5% in patients with CR/VGPR, PR and PD, respectively, but the Kruskal–Wallis test on the three groups did not reach statistical significance possibly because of the high variability of the data, and the only faintly significant difference ( p = 0.0315) appeared between patients with CR/VGPR and those with PD when analysed separately by the Mann–Whitney test (Figure 2A ).
Although the anteroposterior thoracic diameter did not reach statistical significance in multivariate analysis, it still showed a similar trend for PPCs in univariate analysis (OR = 1.763, 95% CI: 1.050–2.961, p = 0.032), possibly due to a limited sample size.
Although differences in AUC between Swin-T and ResNet34, InceptionV3, and ResNet152 did not reach statistical significance, McNemar’s test indicated Swin-T produced significantly fewer classification errors compared to ResNet34 ( p = 0.0328) and InceptionV3 ( p = 0.0304), suggesting a consistent advantage in practical diagnostic performance ( Table 3 ).
Although CHA2DS2-VASc score categories did not reach statistical significance, a 1-point increase in the score was associated with a lower probability of favorable outcomes at 1 month (OR = 0.73, 95% CI 0.55–0.97, p < 0.033).
The magnitudes of mean UACR change from baseline with saxagliptin were greater in the eGFR < 30 and 30–50 ml/min/1.73 m 2 subgroups at − 245.2 mg/g and − 105.0 mg/g, respectively, although in the former subgroup it did not reach statistical significance; a smaller but significant improvement in UACR (− 19.3 mg/g; P = 0.033) was observed in the eGFR > 50 ml/min/1.73 m 2 subgroup [ 58 ].
Through logistic analyses, we found that the association between serum lipid levels and the ORR did not reach statistical significance (Supplementary Table 1), but we found that LDL-C and non-HDL-C were reliable predictors of the DCR (HR: 16.309, 95% CI:1.207–220.326, p = 0.036; HR:34.484, 95% CI: 1.840–646.378, p = 0.018) (Supplementary Table 2).
For mean reticulocyte volume ( n = 176 SNPs), the primary IVW estimate did not reach statistical significance; nevertheless, the pleiotropy-robust MR-Egger analysis detected a significant protective association (OR: 0.9985; 95% CI: 0.9972–0.9999; p = 0.038), collectively reinforcing the potential involvement of erythroid traits in MS pathogenesis.
