As shown in Figure 4 , the PMA treatment for 48 h allowed a higher number of cells to attach to the plate, with a clear trend to lose the round morphology and a greater intercellular adhesion when compared to the 24 h treatment.

Whereas reduced GDNF and bFGF mRNA and protein expressions in human Sertoli cells have been published in the case of severely disrupted spermatogenesis, Sertoli-cell-only [ 63 ] and NOA [ 31 ] human patients, our study showed a trend toward upregulation of these factors, matching the findings of Jensen et al. in affected men [ 64 ].
Regarding biomarkers of mineral metabolism, FGF-23 was also associated with an increased risk of all-cause mortality, with a borderline significant relationship with calcium.
This highly significant enrichment indicates that the network has substantially more interactions than expected by chance, suggesting that the proteins are more interconnected and potentially involved in shared biological processes related to HS. 2.4.
As expected, DCT treatment led to a markedly significant reduction in MTT activity in LNCaP compared to PC-3 cells ( Figure 1 D).
In our study, there was an increasing trend in EV concentrations after exercise.
An interesting trend toward an increase in the concentration of plasma EVs was observed in the HIIT group compared to the REST group, although the difference was not statistically significant ( Figure 1 E). 2.2.
In the COVID-19 sample, a marginally significant effect was observed for the hsa04330 gene set when the threshold for HGB was <the reference level, but below the threshold for HGB < 100 g/L, pronounced effects were observed for the same gene sets (GO-derived and hsa04330) as in the TBI sample.
The exceptions were highly significant differences in minimum RBC, HGB, and HCT levels in patients grouped by anemia diagnosis.
The percentage of variance explained (R-squared) in the TBI sample ( Figure 6 A) reached significant values for RBC and HGB and partially significant values for HCT at the final and min–max measurements, with no influence of genetic variables on these dependent variables.
Cx43 expression was found to be positively regulated at early stages of carcinogenesis [ 36 , 38 , 39 , 40 , 41 ], with a decreasing trend observed as tumor differentiation worsened (well: 54%, moderate: 30%, poor: 19%), supporting the notion that lower Cx43 levels are associated with more aggressive OSCC forms.
Out of those, we identified 77 highly significant genes with concordant changes (same direction of expression/abundance change in RNA/protein level), compared to 19 with discordant change (different direction of expression/abundance change) ( Table S2 ).
The differential protein GO enrichment results are shown in Figure 7 A containing the top 20 sub-functions with highly significant corrected p -values.
Additionally, occludin showed a trend of slight decrease followed by an increase ( Figure 8 E).
The negative regulator of the AKT signaling axis, PTEN, also showed an increasing trend ( Figure 9 B).
Over time, the expression level first increased, decreased slightly, and subsequently showed an increasing trend.
Differential expression analysis revealed that the number of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in the hypoxia, 6-h recovery, and 12-h recovery groups relative to the control group were 860, 1601, and 2630, respectively, exhibiting an increasing trend.
Thus, we also considered that, in aMCI, the impression of the patients of improvement is crucial, and when assessed with MFEQ, this also resulted in a positive trend.
In particular, the analysis of the SLC2A1 and PPIG proteins ( Figure 11 A,B) demonstrated that the difference in RFS between the high- and low-expression groups was statistically highly significant, whereby patients with a low level of expression were at approximately half the risk of recurrence compared with high-expression patients.
The MV proteins (A29L, E8L, H3L, and M1R) and EV proteins (A35R and B6R) showed highly significant matches (E-value range, 3.1 × 10 −20 to 1.7 × 10 −158 ) and match identities (range, 84 to 99%) with homologous proteins on VACV, except for B6R.
When comparing the platelet-depleted groups to those with an intact platelet population, there was a weak trend toward fewer Ly6C hi CX3CR1 lo classical and more Ly6C lo CX3CR1 hi nonclassical monocytes in the absence of platelets ( Figure 6 A).
However, only an increasing trend is found between them, and no obvious functional relationship exists.
A highly significant difference in survival rates was also observed when we grouped all patients into two categories: patients with a priori favorable stages (TNM-F, stages 0–IIIB, median OS 1419 days), or patients with unfavorable prognostic (TNM-NF, stages IIIC–IV, median OS 590 days, HR = 3.3) ( Figure 1 b,c), confirming the association of lower TNM at diagnosis and longer OS.
Skeletal muscle protein levels, however, showed a trend toward normalization following RSV treatment.
oxysporum showed a trend of downregulation [ 20 ].
