After the addition of Zn in the tall fescue treated with Cd, it was obvious that Cd concentration in the xylem sap of sheath, leaf blade and guttation all increased significantly, which is the reason why shoot Cd concentration and Cd translocation factor both showed an increasing trend.

The Interaction between Cd and Zn in Roots of Tall Fescue After 15 days of Cd treatment, the Cd concentration in the roots of tall fescue decreased by more than a half with the increase of Zn concentration in the nutrient solution ( Figure 2 a), while Zn concentration in the roots showed a decreasing trend with the increase of Cd concentration, indicating that Zn and Cd acted antagonistically to inhibit their uptake in roots of tall fescue.

In a similar way, assessments and cross-comparison of NOS isoforms in animals of different age groups with and without exposure to acute SD showed considerable age-dependent decrease but only in nNOS (the bilateral drops to 48.8% and 41.6%) and eNOS activity (the significant drop to 58.7% in the L side, that with borderline significance to 65.1% in the R side), with the activity levels of iNOS remaining stable across different age groups ( Figure 5 A–C).

Interestingly, 100 mg/Kg body weight VEE-treated mice showed a highly significant increase of immobility time compared to negative and positive controls starting from day 4 of the test with 202.64 s, which gradually decreased to attain 177.63 s on the 7th day ( Figure 2 ).The low immobility time of the depressant mice receiving only water compared the VEE-treated mice suggested that the effect observed was not a result of the stress induced by TST, but because of the induction of relaxation by VEE, which is a unique effect of VEE. 2.3.

The plasticity of the neonatal brain and the possibility of compensatory changes in the contralateral hemisphere make differences observed highly significant following HI injury.

Co-stimulated HBMEC also showed a trend towards reduced CXCL5 protein secretion ( Figure 2 l).

Another highly significant result emerged from clinical applications of mitochondrial-targeted drugs in cancer therapies is that they have shown limited side-effects on normal “healthy” cell populations in vivo [ 148 ].

FF Adiponectin and AdipoR1 Expression in GC Varied Mainly According to BMI Adiponectin concentration in FF was clearly significantly higher in normal-weight women then in obese ones ( Figure 2 A).

Moreover, a significant trend between increased behavioral disturbances and higher WMH right frontal deposition was observed.

It can be said that the more the DHI melanin there was, the smaller the aspect ratio of melanosome was—that is, the shape of melanosome showed a trend of changing from a slender, ellipsoidal shape to a thick shape.

In detail, cathepsin A (CTSA) and cathepsin L (CTSL) were significantly increased while other cathepsins showed a trend ( Table 4 ).

Consequently, the quantification of the number of marbles displaced ( Figure 2 B) or buried ( Figure 2 C) yielded large and statistically highly significant differences between the genotypes.

The putatively identified metabolite, 3-methylbutyl 6-apio-furanosyl-glucopyranoside (#66), was detected in all tissue types of the tomato cultivars but demonstrated an interesting trend among the 1R and 9S cultivars, [ 45 ].

Statistical analysis showed that NES RNA expression was similar in low-dose and 0-dose groups on Days 0, 2, 6, 10, and 12; however, the difference in RNA expression between the groups was statistically significant on Day 8 and borderline significant on Day 4 ( Table 3 ).

In contrast to the storage modulus that is increased with the magnetic field, the loss factor shows a decreasing trend as the magnetic field intensity is increased.

LC3BII expression showed a trend to increase within 8 h of exposure to DA but was not statistically different ( Figure 7 ).

Elovl6 expression was upregulated at ZT18 by HFD and showed a trend of normalization (reduction) by NOB treatment ( Supplementary Figure S2D ).

Using ELISA assays, we found that the total serum BA levels increased in the HF group relative to RD; importantly, NOB treatment significantly attenuated the serum BA level at ZT6, and showed a slight trend at ZT18 ( Figure 2 A).

While all candidate RGs except CYP show an increasing trend in the leaves of plants exposed to salt, both non-significant increasing and decreasing trends were observed in the roots of the plants exposed to the same conditions.
