After adjustments for clinical and laboratory parameters, it was revealed that when taking the Q1 quartile of TyG index as a reference, an increasing trend of VDD prevalence was presented in the other three groups divided by TyG index quartiles, where the OR (95% CI) was 1.708 (1.132–2.576) for Q2, 2.041 (1.315–3.169) for Q3, and 2.543 (1.520–4.253) for Q4 (all p < 0.05).
Excerpts
We have shown that there tends to be a negative (but not quite significant) correlation between BMI and EI/TEE calculated using an uncalibrated EI estimated by FFQ ( Table 6 ).
After preparation in August 2018, the effect of the guava fruit extract showed a trend toward a reduced blood glucose increase with a significant difference at 90 min on the 5th of September 2018.
The analysis showed an increasing trend of UIC from women not using either iodized salt or milk (median UIC 79.8 μg/L) compared to those using iodized salt (median UIC 94 μg/L) or milk (median UIC 112 μg/L) or both (median UIC 118 μg/L) [ 25 ].
Additionally, a change (with a trend towards significance) was observed at 120 min for N-oleoyl ethanolamine (OEA) and at 60 min for N-di-homo-y-linoleoyl ethanolamine (DGLEA) ( Table 6 ).
The results from the randomized clinical trial in which a carrageenan-free diet was found to be related to lower relapse rate and decreased inflammation (as assessed by decreased serum interleukin-6 and FCP) should be interpreted with caution as the sample size of this multi-center trial was very small ( n = 12) and the reported p -values obtained from parametric tests were marginally significant.
a positive trendgold
Our results indicate a positive trend in adiponectin and leptin profiles, yet the meta-analysis was based on only three studies with existing heterogeneity.
a positive trendgold
A positive trend, although not significant, in sperm count and motility was observed, whereas a significant increase in semen volume (difference: +0.6 mL, p = 0.04) and viability (difference: +10%, p = 0.03) was shown.
Overall, 79% of patients (27 of 34) showed a trend to reach Type 4 on the Bristol Stool chart after 4 weeks of the low-FODMAP diet.
Similarly, an increasing trend in the levels of XBP1s protein was found in the placenta of the fructose-fed mothers ( Figure 4 C, upper panel) (that it approached to be significant versus the glucose group, P = 0.086), in consonance with the levels found for pIRE ( Figure 3 C).
markedly significantqualified
Accordingly, Figure 1 illustrates Pearson’s correlation coefficient (g/kg/day) obtained for total proteins deriving from a daily mean of recorded foods and urinary proteins based on the presence of nitrogen compounds and fecal nitrogen output from 24 h urine collection [ 27 ], which revealed a markedly significant correlation between proteins deriving from recorded food intake and total urinary nitrogen × 6.25.
More recently, the favorable effect on many biochemical parameters of CKD-MBD (as secondary hyperparathyroidism, changes in bone turnover markers, and a favorable trend in FGF-23 levels) of the n-hVitD correction in pre-dialysis CKD patients was evidenced, indicating n-hVitD as a potential independent risk factor for the development of CKD-MBD [ 29 ]. 3.2.
This comparison showed highly significant differences for zinc, copper, and selenium, with a lower concentration in preterm HM than in term HM.
a positive trendgold
Although, in a broad sense, this is a positive trend, such a change may affect attitudes towards the diagnosis and treatment of celiac disease.
As expected, we found a significant positive vitamin D effect on 25(OH)D levels and a marginally significant trend for a negative effect on PTH levels.
Moreover, there was a slightly significant increase in the percentage of energy intake from milk derivatives, among participants aged 40–59.9 years old, from 8.35 ± 0.48% in 1997 to 7.16 ± 0.36% in 2008/2009.
The abundance of Terrisporobacter ( P = 0.095), Haemophilus ( P = 0.056), and unclassified Clostridiaceae 1 ( P = 0.095) displayed a decreasing trend in the GOS group compared with the CON group ( Figure 4 c).
Although they reflect the same trend for each concentration, we observed a decreasing trend in fluorescence value with increasing QE concentration.
an adverse trendgold
Study year moderated the intervention effects on the time children spent sedentary and in light PA, with a favourable trend found in older children and an adverse trend in younger children.
We found the PRS to be higher than the ALS in patients (significantly at baseline, no different at visit 2, and almost significant at visit 3) and controls (almost significantly at baseline and significantly at visit 2).
Unexpectedly, we found a decreasing trend of fasting C-peptide (FCP) from the start of ω-3 supplement (T0) to one year later (T12).
IGF-II and adiponectin showed a trend to decrease with time, which concurs with the assumption that IGFs and protein share common determinants or are directly associated [ 34 ].
Firstly, the type and size of food stores or the variety, quality, and price of food items were not considered, all of which are possibly significant factors for making healthy food choices.
Statistical significance was set at p < 0.05 and p < 0.01 was considered as highly significant. 3.
In the stool samples, no bacteria were significantly different at day 15 between the two groups, but the abundance of Lachnospiraceae , Blautia, and Faecalibacterium showed an increasing trend in the IF group.
