In total a clear trend is visible: The abundance of TAG-species C50, C52 and C54 is highest upon normal diet; fructose-feeding dramatically increased TAG-species C46, C48, C50 and C52 containing short-chain FAs (C12, C14, C16 and C18), while the TAG-species C56 and C58 containing long-chain FAs (C20 and C22) decreased.
The objective of this study is to determine if previous findings of higher frequency of PPARA 7C allele in power/strength-oriented athletes would be supported by a positive trend to superior speed and power performance in a group of elite ice hockey players.
We found statistically significant differences in P max .kg −1 and marginally significant differences in P max .kg −1 FFM values in WT30 between carriers and non-carriers for C allele (14.6±0.2 vs. 13.9±0.3 W.kg −1 and 15.8±0.2 vs. 15.2±0.3 W.kg −1 FFM , P = 0.036 and 0.12, respectively).
(B–D) Expression patterns of the most highly significant repressors and activators sorted by OTX2 expression level demonstrating that comparisons or correlations are largely driven by outliers in each case (as indicated with asterisks).
47.6%, [11] ), and our analysis indicates that the significant association is lost in first-order correlations controlling for the highly significant association between ErbB2 and the cell proliferation marker Ki67.
Results In the discovery phase, 505 unique candidate biomarkers were identified, with highly significant results and high capacity to discriminate between the different tissue types.
As shown in Figure 7 , our multi-omics network analyses show an increasing trend of the expression level of genes that encode the co-expressed enzymes and consecutive steps for glycolysis IV (plant cytosol) and the key enzymes that produce high-energy nutrients (ethanol) in Arabidopsis and maize stigmas during pollination.
However, in contrast, ‘ Need for control over thoughts ’ was negatively related to anxiety at pre-treatment although this relationship was marginally non-significant at twelve month follow-up.
The correlation matrix summarized in Table 1 shows highly significant age effects in multitasking, based on mean accuracy for the whole sample (upper diagonal) and separately for the old adults (lower diagonal).
The C5 signature showed a trend towards correlation to the AURKA/proliferation module compared to non-C5 tumors, but did not reach statistical significance (p = 0.176).
These results came from field studies conducted in 14 countries, which could mask a positive trend due to differences among countries in poaching pressure and the development of international trade [2] .
In our study, the participants achieved a remarkable weight loss, that was substantially higher than in previous reports [32] , [33] leading to a highly significant increase in lung volumes, ventilatory flow parameters and a decrease of respiratory load.
Although the differences for wild-type and EPPK −/− mice were not significant, the amylase values at the six hours timepoint showed a clear trend towards higher levels in EPPK −/− mice ( Fig. 4K ). 24 hours after induction of pancreatitis, serum lipase and amylase levels had returned to almost basal levels, and histopathology showed no significant differences between EPPK −/− mice and their littermates ( Fig. 4G, H, I, J, K ).
In addition, edema and inflammation both showed a trend towards elevated scores nine hours after induction of pancreatitis in EPPK −/− mice; however, the difference did not reach statistical significance with p = 0.08 and p = 0.16, respectively ( Fig. 4I ).
At day 4 p.i., all three treatment groups (zanamivir and celecoxib combination, zanamivir alone or celecoxib alone group) showed a trend of reduction in the pulmonary levels of proinflammatory cytokine IL-6, IL-1β and RANTES although this reduction was not statistically significant ( Fig. 7a ).
[2] repeatedly found a moderating effect of between-person differences in job demands (in their case work pressure) on the curvilinear relationship between trait neuroticism and general task performance, we only found a statistically significant moderating effect in one out of three studies, together with a clear trend in another one (i.e., Study 1).
As can be seen in Figure 1 , for both high and low task complexity the state neuroticism-momentary task performance relationship showed a trend towards curvilinearity.
