Nevertheless, there is a clear trend of shape changes associated with bite force ratios; species with higher mechanical efficiency (bite force: input force ratios) tend to have a shorter rostrum, deeper and anteroposteriorly more elongate temporalis regions, and more anterodorsally positioned and deeper masseter regions on the zygomatic arches.
More than 50% ASC possessed either one of these two mutations and 42% ASC possessed both; 2) the frequency of four mutations (1485T, 1631T, 1762T, and 1764A) showed an increasing trend accompanied with the disease progression though the changes among groups were not significant (Jonckheere-Terpstra trend test, P > 0.05); and 3) ratios of 4 mutations (1383C, 1479C, 1479T, and 1719T) fluctuated among different disease phases.
Discussion There is an increasing trend of conducting economic evaluations for the purpose of informing resource allocation decision-making in LMICs [ 39 , 40 ], driven largely by increased investment in this kind of policy research by major global health players such as BMGF, GAVI alliance, and the World Health Organization.
When we restricted our analyses to the top half of the ordinal rank distribution (ranks 1 through 8, n = 47, because lower ranking males rarely sire offspring) [ 16 ], we found a marginally significant linear relationship between dominance rank and length-for-age that explained ~9% of the variance in dominance rank: Dominance rank = (-1.59*length-for-age) + 3.33, F 1,45 = 4.510, R 2 = 0.091, p <0.05 ( Fig 3 ).
