Accordingly, GLM analysis showed highly significant effects of salinity, temperature, taxa and body length ( Fig 3 ), with significant taxa*salinity, taxa*temperature and salinity*temperature interactions ( Table 1 ).
Excerpts
Heat shock had a marginally significant effect on reducing the area of yellow pigmentation in eyespot 5 ( Fig 5 ).
For every 30 points improvement in diet on the DHQ, there were 33% lower odds of having had any relapse in the previous 12 months, although this association became marginally non-significant on multiple imputation ( S2 Table ).
Such a difference is associated with 28% lower likelihood of being moderately disabled and marginally significant 33% lower risk of relapse over the prior year in our analysis.
The total solid phase S profile shows a slightly increasing trend with depth until ~ 50 cm and peaks in S generally correlate well with those in sedimentary Mo.
An increasing trend in the level of 14,15-EET in t- AUCB-treated WT versus WT mice was observed at baseline and post-ischemia, but was not significant (p > 0.05, Fig 3A ).
These mid-chain HETEs had a decreasing trend post-ischemia compared to baseline in t- AUCB-treated WT mice, but this trend was not significant (p > 0.05, Fig 4A–4D ).
1.62 (95%CI: 1.23–2.14), 1.43 (95%CI: 1.17–1.75), 2.17 (95%CI: 1.51–3.12) and 1.57 (95%CI: 1.27–1.94), respectively, for HMOX1 rs5995098, APOE rs429358, AGT rs699 and rs5046, as well as a decreasing trend.
Using the dominant genetic model, 4 polymorphisms reached statistical significance and 3 reached borderline significance.
We also detected an increasing trend in HRs across tertiles of GRS (p-trend = 0.0063).
a positive trendgold
The densitometric analysis of WB data confirmed a significantly lower production of type I collagen and showed a positive trend for type II/type I collagen ratio in sponges cultured in dynamic conditions ( Fig 6b ).
However, only spectral reddening shows a significant trend before October 2003.
BCAA intensities showed a decreasing trend after bariatric surgery similar to most other amino acids.
Our results also showed an increasing trend in glycine levels which has previously been described as a short-term effect of bariatric surgery [ 35 ] and inversely related to type 2 diabetes [ 63 , 64 ].
When appropriate, posthoc tests, either Tukey or Multiple Comparisons (R packages ‘agricolae’ and ‘pgirmess’ respectively), were used to identify highly significant differences between treatments.
Seasonal differences were highly significant.
Severe dependence exhibited borderline significance (PR: 1.94; 95% CI: 1.00–3.77).
Accordingly, our study showed a trend to a reduction of HbA1c in migrants subgroup treated with vitamin D.
Moreover, the comparison of allele and genotypic frequencies of selected SNPs among the investigated cattle breeds showed that highly significant differences between the Polish HF breed vs Polish Red breed, and the Polish HF breed vs Hereford breed, thus confirming the validation of selected Polish HF breed-specific SNP markers.
a negative trendgold
Focusing on August and September, when UI presents higher values ( Fig 2B ), a negative trend can be observed all along the coast with values up to -0.05°C dec -1 .
But are these findings practically significant?
a slight trendgold
For fruit samples, there were no significant ( P >0.05) differences in alpha-diversity, with a slight trend to decrease alpha-diversity after 30 days of fermentation.
However, when these variables were considered together in a multivariable logistic regression, only five remained in the final model with three associations found to be significant while the other two were approaching significance.
While we observed an increasing trend of Srebp1 , Scd1 , Fasn , and Cd36 in the HFC-fed group, no differences were observed between saline- and MSP- treated mice ( Fig 5B ), suggesting that liver fatty acid metabolism is not affected by MSP treatment.
Negative progesterone receptor ( p = 0.058) and lymph node ratio > 0.2 ( p = 0.076) displayed borderline significance.
