Histologically, the distal colon of GAL 3 R-KOs showed a trend toward more severe inflammatory cell infiltration during colitis compared to GAL 3 R-WT mice ( p = 0.061), with transmural inflammation occurring in some animals (Fig. 3 a,c).
5 ) and a marginally non-significant effect of sex (least squares mean ± 95% confidence interval: males: 0.019 ± 0.005, females: 0.025 ± 0.004; F 1,31 = 3.77, P = 0.061).
The overall types of AMPs showed differences among the three families, but these differences were marginally non-significant (ANOVA F = 6.094, P = 0.061), and species in the Ranidae family produced more AMPs than did species in the other families.
Pairwise statistical comparison of the magnitude metric revealed a trend towards significance between placebo/moderate doses (paired t-test: p = 0.061) in the go-only blocks, with low alcohol dose showing a larger magnitude metric than placebo (Supplementary Fig. 5 a).
Similarly, the mRNA expression of CRF were enhanced significantly in ileal VE and colon (P < 0.01), and there was an increasing trend in ileal FAE (P = 0.061).
However, higher zonulin levels showed a positive trend towards increased duodenal bacterial load (r s = 0.36, p = 0.061) and zonulin correlations also extended to obesity associated parameters such as body mass index (r s = 0.65, p = 0.01E−02), waist circumference (r s = 0.47, p = 0.009), and hip circumference (r s = 0.53, p = 0.003) (Supplementary Table 3 ).
baseline: F 1,20 = 5.095; p = 0.035, η 2 p = 0.203), a similar (but marginally significant) effect was present for UMTS (UMTS exposure in Mid and Post vs. baseline: F 1,33 = 3.772; p = 0.061, η 2 p = 0.103), and the mid-post temporal interactions were not significant (exposure × time mid vs. post, UMTS: F 1,33 = 0.037; p = 0.849, η 2 p = 0.001; LTE: F 1,20 = 2.932; p = 0.102, η 2 p = 0.128).
However, when ileum mucosa samples were specifically analysed, differences in richness among sampling time points were close to significance (Shannon index; p = 0.061).
Individuals surviving pond drying experienced a marginally non-significant increase in the GSH/GSSG ratio (df = 1, 99; χ 2 = 3.499, p = 0.061), whereas those that survived predators did not alter their GSH/GSSG ratio at all (df = 1, 99; χ 2 = 2.168, p = 0.140; Table 1 ).
The cumulative survival rates in the frailty group were lower than those in the non-frailty group, although the difference was marginally significant ( p = 0.061).
The assistants’ ratings indicated a reduction in hypertonia across the twelve sessions which only approached significance according to the linear mixed model analysis ( p = 0.061).
The vehicle-treated group demonstrates a strong trend towards the net loss of spines over the course of our study, reaching a near-significant level by 132 h (p = 0.061 for 0–132 h, see Table 2 ).
First, the validity of the univariate approach (which we used to evaluate the other within-subject effects) of the test for significance of this 4-term interaction was compromised by a violation of the sphericity assumption, and a more valid multivariate approach revealed a near-significant effect ( F (6, 32) = 2.25, p = 0.061, η p 2 = 0.30).
Analysis of haptoglobin showed a trend toward significant elevation in the liver at 6 hrs after TBI (F(1,14) = 4.033, P = 0.061, NS ), however there were no significant differences at 2 hrs after TBI ( Fig. 2b ).
CD15 + MPO − TANs also correlated inversely with skin metastasis ( P = 0.020), a trend was seen for association between CD15 − MPO + (MPO + ) cells and lung metastasis ( P = 0.059; Table 3 ), while CD15 + MPO + TANs showed a negative trend towards correlating with bone metastasis ( P = 0.061).
Finally, there was a trend towards significance for the 3-way interaction including the quadratic component (F(1,13) = 3.54, p = 0.061), which could be explained by a larger active vs. sham decrease of the (negative) quadratic coefficient for rhythmic than for sham stimulation (p < 0.05; CI = [−0.26 −0.03]; d = 0.76; B U[−0.10 0.24] = 2.26; both active vs. sham differences being significant when tested separately, p < 0.01; for rhythmic: d = 1.34; for random: d = 1.14).
For non-lead-exposed respondents, blood lead levels in male ALAD2 allele carriers demonstrated a marginally significant decrease compared with those in male ALAD1 homozygotes ( p = 0.061).
