In any case, the new information we presented regarding opposing roles of two closely related and ubiquitous SFKs in the activation of an emerging drug target such as STAT3 in the pathway of a major clinical drug target like EGFR is highly significant, particularly in consideration of the alternative or combinatory application of SFK inhibitors in anti-cancer therapies.
Excerpts
a clear trendgold
While there was no significant difference in the severity of fusions between male and female mice, we observed a clear trend in reduced severity of fusions and reduced prevalence of fusions in female mice, a result that parallels known gender differences for the human disease 1 [Fig. 1g ].
For the average distance between the molecule and surface a decreasing trend between points 1 and 3 is present (see Fig. 1 ).
An age of 40+ also increased the risk of being in Group 2 (RR = 4.17) but this association was not quite significant and was relevant to <10% of the cohort.
However, while percentages of Rho low showed a trend to be slightly lower than the corresponding to Rho − cells in basal conditions, this tendency was opposite in PMA-treated cells (Fig. 5c ).
Thus, it was highly significant to understand the food taking patterns of each beagle so as to design rationalized study for the food effects on drug absorption (Fig. 1 ).
an obvious trendgold
An obvious trend that can be observed in Fig. 5 is that the term combinations with more terms are prone to a higher coverage, and vice versa.
There was a nonsignificant trend toward higher amplitude sensory nerve action potentials (SNAPs) compared with the scrambled siRNA control groups.
This approach showed a trend toward reduced neurite outgrowth, albeit not statistically significant (Supplemental Fig. 9B ).
When stratified by eGFR, the minor T allele of rs2231142 in ABCG2 was significantly associated with serum urate concentrations in each stratum and showed a trend for larger effects at eGFR values <30 ml/min/1.73 m 2 (Supplemental Table 5 ).
However, only rs10946398 was included in the final analysis because of its highly significant association.
The ANOVA of the Plackett-Burman design demonstrated that the model was highly significant as was evident from the Fisher’s F -test (39.45) with a very low P -value (0.00047) and the t -Stat (619.14).
Furthermore, it could be inferred that the comprehensive effect of CS and Ag was highly significant in achieving a balance between antibacterial ability and osteoinductive property, and constructing pH-dependent intelligent multilayer coating for intractable orthopedic infections.
5 , two oases (Kashi and Akesu) exhibit an increasing trend in MR, while the other two oases exhibit a decreasing trend in MR.
The results reveal that the annual precipitation exhibits an increasing trend from desert toward oasis at all four oases.
an overall trendgold
Figure 1 also illustrates that the stand consisted of trees with increasing LAs and those with decreasing LAs with age, and that trees showing an overall trend for increasing tree LA occasionally showed a reduced tree LA in some years.
ATROSAB-treated mice showed a highly significant reduction in disease severity in comparison to those treated with the control antibody, until 24 days after disease onset (Fig. 1C ).
4 ) revealed a decreasing trend, although not statistically significant, in AD patients compared to iNPH, whereas, Anti-Ceramidase antibody (anti-ASAH2) was tested on the same sub-pools but ceramidase was, in our hands, undetectable in CSF samples.
LC-MS identified an increasing trend of Cer C24:0 and of a set of SMs in patients with AD, a significant decrease of sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) (t-test p-value 0.0325) and an increase of glucosylceramide (GlcCer) C24:0 (p-value 0.0037) in AD compared to iNPH patients.
In contrast, there were highly significant positive correlations between PR, RW, LR, FW as well as S-A, Mg-A and K-A of the phenotypes under normal but not high Mg 2+ supply (Fig. 2C ).
First, we observed that the metabolomic profile of progressors and non-progressors differed significantly with respect to several metabolites; a logistic regression analysis resulted in 111 nominally significant metabolites after adjustment for age of diabetes onset, baseline HbA 1c and AER.
The VSURF-selected metabolites erythritol, 3-phenylpropionate and N-trimethyl-5-aminovalerate were also consistently ranked among the highest in the RF and they were also highly significant in the logistic regression.
The brain connectivity patterns from the metabolic network show a decreasing trend of inter- and intra-hemispheric connections for NC, sMCI, pMCI and AD.
We found that even though the Spearman and Pearson correlation between average protein and mRNA concentrations is highly significant (Table 2 ), the temporal profiles of protein and mRNA concentrations are only weakly correlated (Fig. 4 ), with typical correlation not higher than 0.2.
Although the European component is preponderant in the Brazilian population (≈70%), with a slightly increasing trend from North to South of Brazil 59 – 61 , in the small settlement of Rio Pardo, a much lesser contribution of the European component (≈44%) was found.
