Women with variant alleles of rs2472299 in CYP1A2 , rs3219489 in MUTYH , rs660149 in PGR , and rs1042157 and rs6839 in SULT1A1 showed a positive trend over the number of variant alleles (p-trend 0.05, 0.09, 0.05, 0.07 and 0.07, respectively).
The EPC-2 cells showed a trend that was consistent with the finding in the co-culture experiment with a decrease in the proliferation rate in conditioned vs. regular media ( Fig. 6A , Table 1 ).
For females, the five correlations (Spearman) within groups between total development time and the final instar varied from 0.77 to 0.98 and all were highly significant ( Table 4 ).
In CHC patients since none of the miRNAs tested was significantly deregulated in serum, we followed the expression of the miRNAs that were deregulated in the liver and/or those almost significantly differentially expressed in serum samples of patients with F3-F4 compared to those with F0-F1-F2.
A novel growth factor, CLEC11A/SCGF-b, which to our knowledge has not yet been associated with senescence yet, showed a trend for increased secretion in shS2 cells.
Thus, both M1 and M2 genes are expressed in atherosclerotic lesions both early and late, and an overall trend towards downregulation of M2-associated genes was observed with disease progression.
Unexpectedly, our results have shown that there is a trend for fathers having 1.1 times stronger preferences for feminine faces than childless men (OR = 1.11 [0.99–1.24]; F 1,25725 = 3.57; P = 0.059, S14), but this almost significant effect varied strongly between men with different siblings’ age, number and sex (for additional details, see S15–S17).
The signature is also not universal as it is absent in homeoboxes of many mammalian genes that are not members of the ANTP class; it is also only marginally significant in the Hox gene orthologs in some non-segmented organisms, as the mollusk Octopus vulgaris 48 .
Multivariate analysis and discovery of potential biomarkers Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was performed on the NMR spectra and the obtained score plots showed a clear trend of group clustering and discrimination between the three cohorts (see supplementary Figures S1 and S2 ).
A significant trend for increasing frequencies of the A allele and the AA genotype was revealed among groups ordered as hypocalcemic, normocalcemic, and hypercalcemic ( Fig. 1 ).
This finding likely stems from the software differences between studies, as we find, that p-value alone of the PO2F1 motif is statistically highly significant.
However, our research showed an interesting result that the OCI temperature showed a decreasing trend with the increasing of air temperature in oasis area.
The test indicated that the OCI temperature showed a significant decreasing trend, whereas the T observe showed an highly significant increasing trend, which is consistent with previous research 38 .
They did not report the main effect of mimicry, but report a near-significant positive effect of mimicry on how non-anxious women evaluated the avatar in terms of likeability and friendliness.
A decreasing trend in lacunar porosity and density could however be noticed due to ageing, and also when comparing the HFD group with the CTRL controls.
In general, we found that PUE showed an increasing trend along the HMI gradient from approximately 0.18 mm °C −1 to the most humid sites 0.4 mm °C −1 ( Fig. 3c ), being partly consistent with the positive linear relationship between PUE and mean annual precipitation (MAP) reported by Hu, et al . 42 .
For litters evaluated at PN3, χ 2 did not reach significance, ( Supplementary Table S1 ) although the data showed a trend toward a lower than expected number of Celf1 −/− animals.
Although the incidence and mortality rates have shown a decreasing trend during the past decades in many parts of the world 1 2 , the incidence rate has slightly increased and the mortality rate has remained stable in China 3 4 .
By performing a linear regression analysis, highly significant linear correlations between enzyme concentration and the rate of change of the fluorescence signal was seen ( Fig. 6d ).
When comparing the RFU of lignin at different concentrations, an increasing trend was observed, which reached a plateau above 2.5 mg/ml of lignin ( Fig. 2b ).
20 applied micro-CT analysis to determine a significant increase in the intensity of the trabecular orientation in the primary trabecular direction and a strong trend of decreasing trabecular connectivity with age.
