It is highly desirable to investigate the unsolved, but highly significant question on whether ESW could stimulate osteogenic differentiation of different types of MSCs under the same experimental conditions (ESW generator/intensity, cell density, outcome measurements, testing parameters) and whether there is a unique signaling pathway shared by the tested MSCs via which ESW exhibits its benefit effects.

First, a clear trend in the growth rate which declines for large population sizes 6 .

The results of the study showed a trend towards cognitive impairment in the control group and an opposite tendency of mice treated with Aβ1-6 A2V TAT(D), whose cognitive performances were no worse than at the beginning of the treatment with Aβ1-6 A2V TAT(D).

Follow-up replication analysis To further validate the SNP association results, we selected the top 4 significant SNPs (including the three significant SNPs (rs1449683, rs167428, and rs308442) after Bonferroni correction and one SNP rs1048201 located at 3′UTR with nearly significant signal) recognized from the discovery study for replication analyses in another independent Han Chinese sample.
