The highest mortality rate was related to Semnan Province; however, a decreasing trend in mortality rate was also observed in this province, and the mortality rate has decreased from 79/100,000 in 2006 to 27.9/100,000 in 2020 [APC: −6.49%, P < 0.05; Table 2 ].
