Second, in an additional regression model to predict initial C p by using both MVPSS of the hypothalamus and the last C p of the previous trial, we found that MVPSS of the hypothalamus significantly predicted the initial C p (beta = 0.17, t = 3.38, p = 0.0007) after regressing out the effect of the last C p of the previous trial, which affected initial C p negatively with marginal significance (beta = −0.03, t = −1.85, p = 0.064).
