Results between p = 0.05 and p = 0.1 were considered nearing significance, and results of p<0.01 were suggestive of strong support of the alternative hypothesis [ 48 ].

After applying Bonferroni corrections ( p =.05/3) and adjusting for covariates (age and sex), only the Vpr G41 and A55 groups was nearing significance for higher levels of QUIN compared to the Vpr S41 and T55 groups, respectively (all p =.023).

Results Our findings indicate that among the many neuropathogenic Vpr amino acid variants and immune markers examined, after applying Bonferroni corrections ( P = .05/3) and adjusting for sex and locality, soluble urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (suPAR) was nearing significance for higher levels in participants with the G41 amino acid variant compared to those with the S41 variant ( P = .035).

Mean (±SD) fructosamine was greater in underweight (533.82 ± 103.28 mmol/l) than overweight (436.25 ± 124.81 mmol/l; P = 0.022), and nearing significance in obese cats (428.18 ± 97 mmol/l; P = 0.051).

3.7 Effectiveness of CALM The Wilcoxon signed‐rank test found a significant reduction in depression (PHQ9) between baseline and 3 months ( p ‐value = 0.009) and nearing significance between baseline and 6 months ( p = 0.055).

Predictors for L858R mutations included female gender (OR 1.319, 95% CI 1.057 to 1.650, p=0.015), age 50 and older (OR 1.859, 95% CI 1.447 to 2.407, p<0.001), never-smoking status (OR 0.589, 95% CI 0.454 to 0.763, p<0.001), adenocarcinoma histology (OR 3.419, 95% CI 2.403 to 5.012, p<0.001), a family history of other cancers (OR 2.089, 95% CI 1.029 to 4.135, p=0.037) and hypertension (OR 1.252, 95% CI 1.001 to 1.562, p=0.048), with early-stage tumours nearing significance (p=0.059).
