After false discovery rate ( FDR ) correction, pathway enrichment analyses for genes harboring nominally significant ( p < 0.05) probes identified 44 significant pathways ( q < 0.05), and 5 pathways were related to lipid metabolism.

3.4 Multivariate regression to maximize the association with subjective cognitive decline scores All variables which were nominally significant (p < 0.05) in the competitive model analysis, in addition to covariates, were then selected as input variables in a backwards stepwise multiple regression analysis to maximize the R adj 2 value ( Fig. 3 A ).
Separately, an excess significance test was conducted using the χ 2 test to investigate whether the observed number of studies with nominally significant results (O;”positive” studies, P < 0.05) differed from the expected number of significant results (E).
