When stratified by cancer type, early-onset Hispanic/Latino patients with colon adenocarcinoma showed a trend toward marginal significance in WNT pathway alterations compared to early-onset NHW patients (93.3% vs. 69%, p = 0.08), suggesting potential ethnic-specific variations in this pathway for colon cancer ( Table S4 ).
Log-rank tests revealed a borderline significant distinction for the baseline model ( p = 0.08) as well as the extended model ( p = 0.06).
The researchers found a statistically significant decrease in the absolute value of paired lesion height ( p = 0.048) and a reduction in the percent change in average height for paired lesions approaching significance ( p = 0.080).
Weakly and borderline significant associations were also observed both for total vegetables (β = 1.02, 95%CI: [1.00, 1.05]; p = 0.08) and saturated fats (β = 0.97, 95%CI: [0.95, 1,00]; p = 0.06) ( Table 4 ).
Regarding the histopathological subtypes, a statistical trend ( p -value = 0.08) indicated that the number of probands affected by serous-papillary ovarian cancer was significantly higher amongst carriers (81.9%) than non-carriers (77.91%) and VUS-carriers (58.82%) ( Table 5 ). 3.3.
In our meta-analysis, MPR was found to be significantly higher in females than in males, with an odds ratio (OR) of 1.82 (95% CI 1.13–2.93; p = 0.01), while pCR showed a trend to be more favorable in females than in males, but the OR of 1.62 was not statistically significant (95% CI 0.97–2.75; p = 0.08).
EUS ablation with ethanol demonstrated the highest risk of adverse events (16%; 95%CI: 13–20; I 2 : 91.0%), with marginally non-significant difference from RFA (7%; 95%CI: 0–12; I 2 = 0%; p = 0.08).
The D1-TX and pre-TX mean IFV values exhibited a borderline significant difference ( p = 0.08).
This combined parameter showed a trend of potentially acting as an independent negative prognosticator ( p = 0.08) ( Table S1 ). 3.
However, when we evaluated MMP-9 and MMP-2 activity in EDL homogenate (EDL muscles have a similar fiber type composition to TA muscles) via gelatin zymography, we found a strong trend for IRI+BGP treatment to increase MMP-9 activity relative to VEH ( p = 0.08; Figure 4 J,N) whilst also significantly reducing MMP-2 activity compared to VEH and IRI treatments ( p < 0.05; Figure 4 K,N).
Female patients were significantly less likely to develop LLNM: women were 77% less likely to develop LLNM, but not CLNM (borderline significance, p = 0.08).
Multivariate analysis revealed a statistically significant impact of extrathyroidal extension on RAI-R TC at initial diagnosis ( p = 0.016; hazard ratio (95% confidence interval): 5.2 (1.3–19.8)), while primary tumor size >40 mm was barely not statistically significant ( p = 0.08).
The addition of ED to CDR RT showed a trend towards improved efficacy ( p = 0.0807) compared to CDR RT alone, but such an effect of ED was not observed in the context of UHDR RT ( Figure 5 C).
Although the log-rank test showed a marginal significance for gene expression ( p = 0.081), we further validated this finding using primary Ewing sarcoma patient samples.
Univariate and multivariate analyses showed a trend toward better prognoses for patients with low PIK3R1 expression compared to those with high expression in terms of recurrence (HR = 0.68, p = 0.081, log-rank, p = 0.079, and HR = 0.064, p = 0.054, respectively; Figure 1 D).
The univariate analysis showed that children with a ≥20% FT4 decline were of similar age (7.7 ± 5.1 years versus 10.0 ± 5.7; p = 0.200), more often received antimetabolites (84% versus 67%; p = 0.049)) and showed a trend towards more frequent treatment with vinca-alkaloids (92% versus 80%; p = 0.081) compared with those with no decline or a decline of <20%.
