Multivariable regression analysis further confirmed that longer diabetes duration, higher LDL levels, and elevated baseline HbA1c were significant predictors of HbA1c change, while the treatment group showed a near-significant independent effect.
[ 27 ], who noted a nonsignificant trend toward higher CIMT in male patients, highlighting the possibility that gender-related differences in CIMT may not always be apparent, particularly in studies with small sample sizes or closely matched cohorts.
LDL levels, however, came close to statistical significance (p = 0.05), indicating a possible trend that might become more evident in research with larger sample sizes.
Tendon transfers and adjunct procedures might be significant in the re-establishment of dynamic muscle balance in persistent or refractory deformities [ 10 ].
There may be significant differences in possible occupation exposures within each group that were unable to be appreciated, given the current study design.
Over a 15-year period, the number of severe pediatric TBI cases varied without exhibiting a clear trend, with an average annual incidence of 6.5 cases, accounting for 1.6% of admissions to our PICU.
Significant heterogeneity was observed (I 2 = 47.9%), driven by a divergence between observational studies, which favored TTM (RR 0.90; 95% CI 0.63-1.27), and RCTs, which showed a trend toward harm or neutrality (RR 1.05; 95% CI 0.86-1.28).
Although Fischer's exact analysis demonstrated a non-significant association (p = 0.22), on chi-square analysis, we found that both employment status (p = 0.09) and marital status (p = 0.09) approached significance.
Although lung cancer continues to have a high mortality rate, its incidence is decreasing among men, in contrast to an increasing trend among women in recent years [ 7 ].
More recently, there has also been an increasing trend towards two-tiered grading in the required clerkships, with 20 schools using this structure as of 2022 up from 14 schools in 2018 [ 3 ].
Discussion The cultivated epidermal allograft showed a trend toward improved outcomes, including a reduced need for skin grafting, shorter length of stay, and fewer days for epithelialization compared to hydrocolloid dressings.
The fourth trial assessed low-frequency vibration and reported a highly significant finding: anchorage loss in the control group was nearly twice that of the experimental group [ 33 ].
Because ILD findings persisted despite high-dose glucocorticoid therapy, mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) was introduced and up-titrated, after which ILD showed a trend toward improvement.
This was followed by referrals due to laboratory abnormalities (2-17 cases per year) and abnormal vital signs (1-15 cases per year), both of which showed an increasing trend over time.
There appeared to be an increasing trend in nursing referral frequency density beginning in October 2022, coinciding with increased engagement activities.
However, a highly significant difference was observed in dialysis duration, with positive cases having a substantially shorter duration of dialysis (3.75±2.87 months) compared to negative cases (38.4±30.1 months), representing a mean difference of 34.65 months (t=-3.347, df=93, p=0.001).
This study also demonstrates a decreasing trend in resistance to piperacillin/tazobactam, imipenem, cefepime, meropenem, ciprofloxacin, aztreonam, levofloxacin, and ceftazidime over five years, potentially reflecting judicious antibiotic use.
