These finding are consistent with our previous work which has shown that GPIU addicts have confronted with more stressful life events and used more ACSs than non-addicts ( Li et al., 2009 ), suggesting that stress and ACSs might be significant pre-existing risk factors in either GPIU or OGA.
Excerpts
Child Reflective Functioning and Attachment Security A highly significant association was also found between child attachment security and child RF, thus replicating the results of the CRFS validation study ( Ensink, 2004 ).
The analysis revealed a highly significant effect for the session variable only.
Furthermore, to confirm the reliability of these effects observed for attentional relationship type and the marginally significant age group differences (i.e., 9-months-old vs. 1.5-years-old and 1-year-old vs. 1.5 years-old) for looking frequency, we also fitted a model with a Gaussian error function and identity link function.
No other effect approached significance, Wald s < 2.06, ps > 0.15 (see Table 2 for coefficients and standard errors of the predictors included in the models) 4 .
Also, in order to statistically assess whether CVRF influenced on regional WM volume–cognitive performance relationships, we included “FRS subgroup status” as a further predictor variable in the analyses investigating the presence of significant correlations between WM volumes and cognitive performance score across the subgroups with low, medium and high CVR, searching for voxels where there might be significant differences in the pattern of WM volume-cognition correlations between the three subgroups.
Additionally, for women, experiencing support from their team members and team leader showed a trend to mitigate the relationship between gender-dissimilarity and perceived gender-work identity conflict, and a positive diversity climate was marginally related to less perceived gender-work identity conflict.
Taking each species separately, dogs showed a decrease in the frequency of stress signals from 6 to 8 weeks of age, whereas wolves showed a trend in the opposite direction, with more stress signals being exhibited at 8 weeks than 6 weeks of age (Figure 5 ).
For example, it is possible that the highly significant differences seen between ASMR participants and controls on the Neuroticism domain of the BFI may instead be due to significant differences in the self-consciousness sub-facet of Neuroticism rather than negative affect, which is the primary characteristic of this domain.
When excluding this subject from analyses, both WM (β = 0.16, p = 0.08, BCA 95% CI [−0.02,0.36]) and reasoning (β = 0.15, p = 0.15, BCA 95% CI [−0.05,0.36]) were marginally significant.
( 2009 ) study investigating the impact of CRI indicated that participants reported fewer PTS symptoms than the TAU group; with a borderline significant difference between the two groups.
clearly significantqualified
With this step, we expect to have a clearly significant model since previous research supports the idea that some demographic aspects (e.g., marital status, or education or socioeconomic status) have a positive influence on the emotional well-being of individuals ( Kahneman and Deaton, 2010 ).
The results partially supported this hypothesis: Though the expected interactions between muscle resonance and language were not at all or only marginally significant, the visual inspection and pairwise comparisons indicated a tendency for reduced motor resonance in response to emotional L2 words for both corrugator and zygomaticus muscle.
On the strong cue condition, the differences almost reached statistical significance: ASD vs.
Conclusion In an era when healthcare provision shifts away from hospital toward home in order to meet the demands of an increasingly aging population (Christensen et al., 2009 ) and the growing burden of chronic diseases (Daar et al., 2007 ), the contribution of informal caregivers is highly significant.
In addition, all main effects were more pronounced in old participants: they had stronger performance decrements in cognitive dual tasks compared to single tasks [difference between dual tasks and single tasks: old: M = 0.33; SE = 0.05; young: M = 0.09; SE = 0.02; difference between age groups: t (19) = 4.01, p < 0.001, d = 1.75], for modality incompatible compared to modality compatible tasks [difference between modality incompatible and modality compatible tasks; old: M = 0.21; SE = 0.02; young: M = 0.05; SE = 0.02; difference between age groups: t (19) = 4.93, p < 0.001, d = 2.15] and marginally significant higher decrements during standing compared to sitting [difference between standing and sitting: old: M = 0.07; SE = 0.02; young: M = 0.03; SE = 0.02; difference between age groups: t (19) = 1.87, p = 0.077, d = 0.82].
With such a practically significant effect size, we do not believe it is appropriate to draw strong conclusions from the lack of statistical significance in the poorly fitting, underpowered model.
The effect approached significance when comparing the low responsibility and teacher-focused responsibility clusters as well.
In this respect, it is interesting to note that, in the present study, there is a numerical trend for pseudowords preceded by pseudowords to be slower than pseudowords preceded by words.
However, “Facilitate goal setting” (BS4) only reached conventional levels of significance when the analyses were based only on the RCTs and “Prompt review of goals” (BS5) was only marginally significant when either based on all trials or only on RCTs.
The Multiplicity Scale (Carter, 2008 ) incorporates many items that refer to dissociation, and one study using this instrument found that the level of personality integrity was associated only with neuroticism ( r = 0.35, marginally significant) among the Big Five factors in a sample of undergraduate students ( N = 67; Lester and Carter, 2013 ), which is in line with other studies that have found an association between dissociation and neuroticism ( r = 0.27; Ruiz et al., 1999 ).
The opposite was true, when stigmatized identities were visible, although this relationship was weaker and only marginally significant.
Word frequency was a highly significant predictor of lexical decision accuracy in all seven models, whereas vocabulary was insignificant in five of the models.
The appearance of QA (questions directed at others) in the second half of the therapy is, in our opinion, a highly significant indicator of the group process.
Furthermore, statistics anxiety has a direct negative influence on academic performance which, however, with p = 0.063 shows only a statistical trend.
