This difference between both systems may be significant under oxidative stress conditions since the formation of the semiquinone radical could lead to the production of O 2 •− upon by its reaction with molecular oxygen, as reported, by the mitochondrial redox chain and, also found by C b 5 R reacting with CoQ mimetics [ 28 ].

At baseline, young and elderly female mice had no perceptible differences in echocardiographic parameters, but histological analyses showed a trend to higher cardiomyocyte CSA and significantly higher collagen deposition in elderly versus young animals.

At 15–16 dpf, we observed a decreasing trend in mortality and hence, mortality of larvae from 23 dpf to 36 dpf was recorded ( Figure 3 ). 4.5.

Effect of GCs on the Amino Acid Transporter SLC7A7 We extracted RNA after DEX treatment for 48h in porcine skeletal muscle cells and used QPCR to determine the mRNA expression levels of relevant amino acid transporters, which revealed a highly significant downregulation of the mRNA expression levels of the amino acid transporters SLC1A3 , SLC7A7 , and SLC7A10 ( Figure S1 ).

Finally, the 2 −ΔΔ Ct method was used for data analysis, and one-way analysis of variance was performed to determine the significance at p < 0.05 (significant) and p < 0.01 (extremely significant).

A Q-score higher than 0.1 can indicate some possibly significant level of structural similarity.

A recently published meta-analysis of 14 eligible studies showed that circulating fetuin-A levels are significantly higher in patients with MetS compared to controls, with a possible trend towards an increase in the risk of MetS with an increase in the circulating fetuin-A concentrations [ 87 ].

The significance of the difference between T1084 treatment in comparison with T1023 and Na-DCA was confirmed at the later stages of both experiments by highly significant statistical differences in tumor volume ( Figure 4 A,B) and in growth inhibition indices in the treated animals ( Figure 4 C,D).

At the level of the ankle, histological analysis also confirmed a significant reduction of inflammation for the anti-IL17A therapy ( p = 0.047) compared to the vehicle control, while dual blockade and anti-TNF therapies only showed a trend of reduced inflammation ( Figure 2 d), which did not reach significance.

The reviewed biosensors demonstrate a strong trend to build analytical systems that are easy to use, owing to the exclusion of extra steps in sample preparation and the employment of additional labelling compounds.

Surprisingly, the male animals only showed a trend in the improvement of motor function after drug treatment without any statistical significance ( Figure 2 E).

In addition, eiF2β, which was found in the PP1c interactome in this study but at the limit of significance and also in a recent report [ 15 ], was confirmed as a direct interactor of PP1c both in mammals and in Plasmodium [ 28 , 29 ].
