Applying the same analysis to stage II breast cancer patients revealed that the CINP metagene was associated with a marginally significant difference in 5-year survival by TCGA analysis but not by METABRIC analysis (Supplementary Fig. 4b, c ).
Excerpts
an obvious trendgold
Major hurricane frequency is consistently related to relative SST 5 (difference between MDR SST and tropical mean SST), as they are correlated while neither index has an obvious trend (Fig. 2b ).
a clear trendgold
We found that the CDR3B length distribution for proinsulin-specific 39 and autoreactive clones 31 – 38 shows a clear trend to being shorter than expected (Fig. 8e, f ).
This established highly significant reduction in the primary tumor size and metastatic spread during dual-delivery treatment or administration of OX/LB-MSNP (Supplementary Fig. 10a, b ).
We found an almost significant deficit of genes responding to sexual selection on the older part of the X chromosome (XL) and that XR contains a deficit of sex-biased genes.
In line with these findings, gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) showed a highly significant enrichment of regions decorated with H3K27me3, either alone or in combination with H3K4me2/3, and of regions bound by PRC2 components including EED and SUZ12 (Supplementary Fig. 5d ).
a clear trendgold
A clear trend can be seen and reflects that the Debye–Waller factors of the different atoms do not scale proportionally with temperature.
an overall trendgold
The calculated blood flow volume in the uterine artery (cQuta) corrected for maternal body weight demonstrated some variability between ZIKV animals, but revealed an overall trend to increasing with advancing gestational age, as would be anticipated (Fig. 5c ).
Indeed, only one of the top 5 loci from the overall marginal GWAS showed nominally significant interaction effect, and none passed Bonferroni corrections.
This is a fairly significant increase on top of the IPCC scenario given that total increase in global temperature since the industrial revolution is about 1 °C 27 that can significantly increase the required speed and extent of future emission reductions.
and displays an increasing trend into the current era.
This represents a highly significant bias toward antagonistic risk SNPs (binomial test p -values of 7.28×10 −15 and 1.99×10 −9 , comparing the frequency of antagonistic risk SNPs for degenerative ageing diseases and cancer to non-ageing-associated traits, respectively, Supplementary Note 8 ).
Analysis of the transcriptomic datasets Pre-normalized public circadian transcriptomic microarray (GEO accession: GSE54650 7 ) and aging transcriptomic data sets (GEO accession: GSE57809 26 and GSE6591 27 for the liver and lung, respectively) were used for detection of circadian (see “Detection and analysis of circadian epigenetic oscillations”) and nominally significant aging mRNAs (see “Aging analysis for the mouse tissue DNA samples”).
Over evolutionary time, terrestrial mammalian lineages show a significant trend toward larger body size—Cope’s rule 29 – 32 .
The J sc values show an increasing trend from approximately 15 to 19 mA cm −2 with the increase of the active layer thickness.
The same comparisons based on the mathematical model results are highly significant with p values of 9.82 × 10 −10 and 1.75 × 10 −5 .
a strong trendgold
However, neither the Resilience nor the Food Waste metrics show such a strong trend (Table 1 ).
a small trendgold
Ideally, the O fraction would be identical for all lines, but a small trend is visible in Fig. 3 , which may indicate the presence of additional small errors in the f -values or in model temperature profiles.
The NO 3 − uptake rates showed an increasing trend with depth and peaked around the nitracline, and the rates remained significantly higher than NH 4 + uptake rates below the nitracline at all sites ( p < 0.05).
In addition, there was a highly significant association between levels of expression of CDCA7 and DSS (trend test P = 1.22 × 10 −8 ), which maps just 7 kb from the reported 2q31.1 risk SNP (rs1550623), but while there was a robust eQTL association between rs1550623 and CDCA7 in all cancers (trend tests: nominal P = 0.007, FDR adjusted P = 0.09) there was no association in ER+ cancers alone (both P > 0.1).
Two of the three DN-1 infected animals showed a trend toward viral enrichment in the brain although the mean levels were not significantly different compared to DN-2-infected animals.
a clear trendgold
We observed a delineation between CrCoNi—with hcp as the ground state independent of the local atomic arrangements—and the CrCoMnFeNi HEA, where the magnetic frustration resulting from the addition of Mn breaks a clear trend for relative hcp vs fcc energies.
extremely significantqualified
P -values above or equal 0.05 were classified as not significant (ns), between 0.05 and 0.01 as significant (*), between 0.01 and 0.001 as very significant (**), between 0.001 and 0.0001 as extremely significant (***) and below 0.0001 also as extremely significant (****).
a clear trendgold
1b , there is a clear trend showing that the more recurrently mutated a gene locus is, the larger the fraction of proteins showing statistically significant correlation between metaVIPER-inferred protein activity and mutational state.
Out of the four CBS hotspots we examined, three of them were associated with nominally significant expression changes of neighboring genes ( CENPQ , KCNQ5 , and SPG20 ), and these associations were validated in an independent tumor cohort.
