Parasite densities assessed by microscopy show a clear trend of increasing with increasing transmission intensity ( Fig. 2b ).
Parasite densities assessed by microscopy show a clear trend of increasing with increasing transmission intensity ( Fig. 2b ).
By contrast to the relatively small changes in North Atlantic and intermediate ocean, deep water δ 13 C values in the Southern Ocean/South Atlantic (Site 1090/704) show a significant trend towards lower values since the mPWP 10 , 16 .
Currently, contributions to the compensation of the deficiency of anionic glycolipids are likely to be significant in the order of PG>PI>PE, although it remains unknown whether this order is because of the difference in chemical properties or the difference in the organelle where they are mainly synthesized, that is, chloroplastic PG is synthesized in chloroplasts 47 , such as SQDG and presumably GlcADG, whereas PI and PE are mainly synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum ( Fig. 6 ).
When this scoring system was used to segregate patient samples into 3 groups of low (nuclear score <100; nuclear intensity <2); medium (nuclear score 100–300; nuclear intensity 2–5) and high (nuclear score >300; nuclear intensity >5) CtBP score, there was a clear trend showing an inverse relationship between CtBP staining and patient median survival by Kaplan Meier analysis ( Fig. 6b ).
For all samples younger than 1840 AD with a B 1⁄2ARM between 23 and 63 mT, the pseudo-Thellier slopes show a decreasing trend with age ( Fig. 1b ).
Indeed, their tracer-derived growth rates showed a trend of being lower than their cell-derived growth rates ( Supplementary Fig. 6 ); however, the differences were statistically insignificant, suggesting that phototrophic CO 2 fixation is the main contributor to the growth of Pl-L and Pl-S cells.
3a ) and the overall effect of season was highly significant ( Fig. 3b ).
After controlling for allele frequency, the first two of these were the most highly significant predictors ( Table 1 ).
6 ), revealing a clear trend for import sites to be located ~30 nm apart ( Fig. 3g ).
There is a clear trend with decreasing d : the dislocations in action transition from full to partial inside the grains, and eventually to those in the GB to mediate grain rotation.
Transgenic mice showed a trend to decrease maximum synaptic responses to afferent stimuli in the perforant path-dentate gyrus synaptic input ( Fig. 3a ), and a deficient theta-burst-induced long-term potentiation (LTP) ( Fig. 3b ).
The P682S SNP demonstrated a highly significant association with the FCCTX phenotype resulting in an increased risk for CRC ( Table 3 ).
However, there was a highly significant reduction in the proportion of EBs coupled with a concurrent increase in the proportion of intermediate bodies (IBs)–RBs in the process of retransformation to EBs–characterized by their size and compact nucleoids ( Fig. 3b,c ).
An interesting trend of mean PO 2 and SO 2 increase with increasing venular diameter was observed ( Fig. 3 ), regardless of the exclusion of the pial venules ( Supplementary Fig. 4 ).
To identify the PAR, we focused on SNPs heterozygous in both males and females in a pool of unmapped markers that were not linked to any of the 33 autosomal linkage groups 33 . Seven of these previously unlinked markers from three small scaffolds (N00298, three markers in 436.0 kb; N00378, three markers in 182.2 kb; N02597, one marker in 2.3 kb) showed highly significant two-point linkage in both male and female meioses to several markers located close to one end of the Z chromosome linkage map and to each other ( Supplementary Table 1 ; Supplementary Fig. 1 ).
This highly significant effect was consistently demonstrated across all the cohorts studied and was independent of potentially confounding factors including gender, age at time of biopsy, BMI, T2DM and PNPLA3 rs738409 genotype.
A value of p<0.05 was considered significant whereas values of p<0.01 and p<0.001 were considered highly significant.
Our model revealed highly significant interactions between stage of development and the age of each parent in determining offspring mass, which indicates that chick growth trajectories differed depending on both paternal and maternal age (chick age × parent age interactions; see Table 3 ).
Considering expression as a continuous variable, a highly significant inverse association was found between the expression of Fbw7 and several NF-κB2 target genes, such as Bcl2 and Bcl2L1 ( Supplementary Table S4 ).
Interestingly, STAT3 and IL-8 expression tended to inversely correlate in KRAS mutant samples, whereas KRAS wild-type samples showed a trend towards a positive correlation between STAT3 and IL-8 expression ( Supplementary Fig. 4c ).
MeQTL results ( Supplementary Table 8 ) are presented for variants with nominally significant associations in both the WGS and GWAS samples less than a meta-analysis P -value of 1 × 10 −04 .
Error bars are substantial, but a clear trend across scales is evident, which suggests that the observed spectra are roughly consistent with this relation.
The polymeric carbon structures reveal an expected trend when comparing with the structural chemistry of the heavier congeners of group IV elements in Zintl phases (alkali or alkaline-earth silicides, germanides and stannides) 17 , 33 .
The three-dimensional transformations afford new perspectives on the structural defects at GBs and on the development of strategies to manipulate practically significant GB transformations.
Second, for each strain we found highly significant partial correlations between Ribo-seq data and protein levels when we conditioned on RNA transcript levels ( Supplementary Table 1 ).
