The Krabbesholm shell midden only has data from one layer within the Mesolithic period for comparison, and the Havnø shell midden exhibits a decreasing trend in age and size of oysters beginning in the Mesolithic period (and with only data for 3 shell midden layers in total across the Mesolithic and Neolithic periods).

The considerable size of the multi-mode mixing effects on excitonic energy gaps suggest a possibly significant influence on coherent excitonic dynamics.
