Furthermore, substantially more AAM signals showed at least nominally significant associations (GWAS P < 0.05) with relatively early (102, 31.1%) or relatively late facial hair (152, 46.3%) compared to ~16 expected by chance for each outcome (Supplementary Data 1 ).
To determine CNV enrichment, we only considered loci that were nominally significant between the comparative groups ( P < 0.05).
Effect estimates for most proteins remained consistent after adjustment for these factors, but standard errors increased such that only Nt-proBNP, CXCL13 and the complement factors remained significant at the Bonferroni-adjusted threshold (Table 2 ) although all proteins except IL-1RA and tPA remained nominally significant at p < 0.05.
3g ) of genetic associations with infarcts and with blood SMAD3 levels in ADNI and MCSA revealed 6 intronic SMAD3 variants (rs71400360, rs12904527, rs12909923, rs71400361, rs35779650, rs28564777) that had nominally significant associations ( p < 0.05) with both lower risk of brain infarcts and with higher blood levels of SMAD3 .
About 74.2% of the land surface shows an increasing trend, among which 52.7% is significant at p = 0.05 level (two-tailed).
Nominally significant effects of diagnosis on AIs (i.e., with P < 0.05, but which did not survive multiple comparison correction), were observed for the fusiform surface area AI ( β = −0.005, t = −2.56, P = 0.010) (Supplementary Table 2 ), pars orbitalis thickness AI ( β = −0.003, t = −2.26, P = 0.024), posterior cingulate thickness AI ( β = −0.003, t = −2.1, P = 0.034), superior temporal thickness ( β = −0.002, t = −1.97, P = 0.049), and caudate nucleus volume ( β = 0.003, t = 2.24, P = 0.025).
2a ), and 53 showed nominally significant associations in the CKDGen cohorts alone ( p < 0.05; Supplementary Data 4 ).
Here we found that among 118 genes/transcripts with transcription start sites within 500 kb of rs7594852, there were five nominally significant ( P < 0.05) cis-eQTL associations (Supplementary Table 4 ).
Secondary GWAS ( N = 255,426), excluding shiftworkers and individuals with chronic health or psychiatric illnesses, additionally identified significant variants in SEMA3D and revealed marginally significant interactions with health status at PATJ, ZENF326/BARHL2, ECE2, ASAP1 , and CYP1A1/CYP1A2 (interaction P < 0.05; Supplementary Fig. 6 , Supplementary Table 7 ).
The remaining seven associations were nominally significant in the meta-analysis ( β between −0.05 and −0.07, p < 0.05) (Supplementary Data 2 ).
Lung microbiota clusters predict survival independent of clinical variables and host responses Comparisons of microbial communities between survivors and non-survivors at 60-days post-ICU admission showed highly significant differences in Shannon index, obligate anaerobe and pathogen abundance in lung samples both at baseline and in the middle follow-up interval ( p < 0.05, Figure S11 ).
Although nest site showed a significantly positive Mantel correlation ( P < 0.01), the positive correlation showed no or only marginally significant differences from neutral model simulations ( P = 0.05; Fig. 3b ; Supplementary Table 1 ).
For all nominally significant associations ( p < 0.05), effect sizes were strongly correlated when using imputed vs.
Genes with nominally significant ( P < 0.05) estimates of SNP-heritability (cis- \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$h_g^2$$\end{document} h g 2 ), are then put forward for training predictive models.
Among female-specific fertility traits, LDSC identified nominally significant ( P < 0.05) r g between increased MPB severity and fewer number of live births ( r g = −0.06, SE = 0.02) and increased age of first birth ( r g = 0.04, SE = 0.02) (Table 1 ), suggesting shared genetic risk.
Although this analysis did not yield any significant genes after multiple testing correction, 15 genes were nominally significant ( p < 0.05), corresponding to a 2-fold enrichment with respect to the null hypothesis (Supplementary Fig. 7c ).
