LANCL1 expression was found to be increased at presymptomatic stages of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), in the SOD1G93A transgenic mouse model, indicating a possibly significant role of LANC1 in this neurodegenerative disease [ 152 ].
Excerpts
The results of the mixed linear model showed that the 17-item er-MEDAS adherence score depended on group-time interaction, being positive and significant for the INT group at 3 and 6 months and almost significant at 12 months ( Table 4 ).
After 16 weeks, fasting glycine levels were increased in ApoE −/− mice fed the 2% glycine diet, with this elevation being highly significant in male mice and nearly significant in female mice ( Figure 4 A; Table 4 ).
Results: We found that 52 HMOs had a decreasing trend (regression coefficients ranging from −1.41 to −0.17) and 9 had an increasing trend (regression coefficients ranging from 0.25 to 0.64) during lactation, and the findings were statistically significant after multiple testing corrections.
a negative trendgold
Conversely, it shows a negative trend with fat mass (−0.66) ( Figure 3 ).
a positive trendgold
Physical pain not only shows a moderate negative correlation with tissue hydration (−0.54) ( Figure 4 ), but also exhibits a positive trend with role limitations due to physical health (0.56) ( Figure 5 ).
A two-sided p value of less than 0.05 was considered to indicate a significant difference, while a two-sided p value of less than 0.10 was defined as marginally significant due to the limited sample size. 3.
In addition, 23 subjects showed a decreasing trend in the IL-6 level, accounting for 76.67% of the total participants.
Accordingly, when analyzing the food group consumption, the control group presents a statistical trend of consuming more animal protein, while the AMA women consume more vegetable protein, with the potential nutritional consequences that this may have.
A multivariate logistic regression analysis model (that included the dietary covariates having a relationship that was significant or at the limits of significance at univariate analysis, i.e., ICS and regular cows’ milk consumption) revealed that only ICS was an independent predictor of adequate iodine status with an odds ratio (OR) of 3.4 (95% CI: 1.0–10.9) ( p = 0.04).
NSE, a critical predictor of nutritional behavior, is highly significant.
In glucose tolerance testing (GTT), the mean fasting glucose (0 min) was 5.05 ± 0.82 mmol/L in Caucasians and 5.28 ± 0.92 mmol/L in South Asians, with a borderline significant p -value of 0.05.
As previously presented ( Figure 1 ), we detected strong and highly significant correlation coefficients between the composite scores for food preferences (positive, negative, and total) and adherence to the MedDiet.
A positive result indicates an increasing trend in disease burden and mortality, and a negative AAPC indicates a decreasing or improving trend in disease burden and mortality.
Furthermore, although the difference between the groups did not reach statistical significance, the IL-6 plasma levels showed a trend reduction over time after the FS was administered (pre–post treatment 8.0 ± 1.73 pg/mL vs. 4.8 ± 1.20 pg/mL) but not after the placebo was administered (pre–post 5.6 ± 0.94 pg/mL vs. 5.01 ± 1.07 pg/mL).
In contrast, other studies showed a trend towards improved survival in ovarian cancer patients with BMI ≥ 25 [ 16 , 17 ], while BMI reduction during or after chemotherapy was linked to poorer outcomes [ 18 , 19 , 20 ].
Time shows a marginally significant positive association (Estimate = 0.5205; Std.
This result persisted even after adjusting for mushroom intake, with statistical significance for women and a trend toward significance for men, suggesting the involvement of factors other than diet ( Table S1 ).
a clear trendgold
The findings indicate a clear trend towards more frequent consumption of both fresh and frozen fish across different family sizes.
Before NAC, patients with low PNI showed a trend toward poorer survival outcomes; however, the differences were not statistically significant ( Figure 7 ).
More recent studies suggest an increasing trend in the incidence and prevalence of CD in Lebanon over the past two decades.
Figure 1 illustrates a decreasing trend in the prevalence of very low and low weight and an increasing trend in the prevalence of overweight and obesity over time.
At the end of the 20th century, men in Poland consumed an average of 332 g of meat and its products per day, and women consumed 175 g/day, which indicates the existence of a favorable trend.
[ 38 ] found a nonsignificant trend toward a higher concentration of another oligosaccharide, lacto-N-neotetraose (LNnT), most abundantly present in human breast milk and a reduced risk of HIV (adjusted OR: 0.49; 95% CI: 0.23, 1.04).
No significant differences were observed between the free and microencapsulated bacteria, although the latter showed a trend toward a more favorable clinical effect.
