A decreasing trend in breakfast consumption was observed with age in all groups stratified by race and ethnicity and household income.

In this study [ 13 ], a clear trend was observed in the increased consumption of sweets (chocolates, candies, cookies, pastries, cakes, desserts, and confectionery), snacks (packaged fatty or salty snacks), and bakery products (packaged bread, pizzas, and sandwiches), all classified as UPF, driven by the SARS-CoV-2 lockdown.

Using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, individuals had elevated serum CRP levels, and there was a significant trend between increasing vegetable consumption (categorized in tertiles) and lower CRP levels [ 63 ].

For all causes of mortality, a clear trend of risk curves is observed in Figure 2 , with the lowest risk related to the first quartile.

Details by cause are shown in Table 2 , Model 2: for Gastrointestinal Cancer, a statistically significant effect was found for Q2 (SHR 1.65, 95% CI: 1.01; 2.71) and highly significant for Q4 (SHR 3.14 95% CI: 1.56; 6.32) when compared with the lowest quartile, while for other cancers, a SHR 1.61 (95% CI 1.03; 2.54) was observed for Q3.

A subsequent pathway analysis (enrichment and topological) of the significant metabolites resulted in three nominally significant enriched pathways for contact allergies and one pathway for hay fever that are displayed in Table 5 . 3.7.

By that, we were able to identify differences in the inter-individual microbial variance as well as a clear trend towards impaired microbial intra-individual diversity between hay fever and their respective control subjects.

We observed a highly significant rapid fall in IL-6 concentration in the first 24 h, followed by an increase in concentration and a slight subsequent decrease.

For nitrate intake from non-vegetable food sources, we observed a 37% reduction in the risk of iOAG (OR (95% CI): 0.63 (0.41–0.96)) for each 10 mg/day higher intake ( Figure 2 C; model 1), but we did not observe a significant trend ( p -trend = 0.08).

We did observe a borderline significant association between nitrate intake from non-vegetable food sources and IOP (beta (95% CI): −0.45 (−0.96–0.06) for each 10 mg/day higher intake) ( p -trend = 0.09).

Barriers and facilitators to dairy product consumption in Iran has been reviewed by Rabiei et al., identifying a decreasing trend and a different pattern of consumption by age category [ 30 ].

If the value is higher than the table value for the 0.01 step but is less than the table value for the 0.001 steps, the differences between values are distinctly significant (**).

Participants with a family history of AD (i.e., FH+) showed a trend where higher folate intake correlated with increased neural network activity, as depicted in Figure 3 .

T max was lower after M2SH intake compared to after HEM intake with a borderline significance.

However, none of the factors determining these groups (except for laxative use which was slightly associated with Diff (Sch-IC) variability; p = 0.111) was statistically significant or tended toward significance in all our analyses which make our results sufficiently reliable.

In addition, dietary intake on weekends tends to be higher than that on weekdays, and there may be significant differences in dietary intakes between two adjacent days [ 9 , 10 ].

The signalling pathway, including GPR30, a non-classical ER, has been identified as a seven-transmembrane domain receptor and is highly significant in the adverse effects of low-dose BPA [ 36 ].

When only women with normal adiposity were included, the F/B ratio showed a trend toward an inverse correlation with prepregnancy BMI and with weight gain during pregnancy when it was within the parameters of the gain of weight recommended by the IOM, 2009 [ 23 ].

A higher adherence to this type of diet is observed in the region of Murcia and, on the contrary, a lower use of the diet is observed among the population of La Rioja, but this difference is not statically significant, it just marks a slight trend.

In the HF + LSE group, there was a slight trend towards a lower HOMA-IR level as compared to the HF diet group, averaging 8.1 ± 0.8; but the difference was not statistically significant, as seen in Figure 2 C.

This is a positive trend, since the 24 h recall method has been considered the most appropriate method to assess nutrient intakes in lower-income settings [ 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 ].

Similarly, a decreasing trend was also observed in the OVX + SWP group; however, it was not significant. 3.4.

A positive trend of supplementation with vitamin D was also noticed in a smaller proportion of patients who needed supplemental conventional oxygen, non-invasive ventilation, high-flow nasal oxygen and invasive mechanical ventilation (86.4% in the placebo group vs. 62% in the vitamin D group; p = 0.0545).

Adjusted HRs and propensity scores were calculated for the main confounding variables and showed that exposure to GDM and T2D was associated with a similar increase for the risk of CVD of about 40%, although at the limit of significance for O-T2D.

In the case of O-T1D, a borderline significant association was seen between maternal blood glucose in the third trimester and offspring risk of the metabolic syndrome, which was only present in the unadjusted analysis.
