At a more local scale, the IBD pattern was marginally significant in only one out of three sites analysed (Vauclin, P = 0.042), supporting the effect of genetic drift acting on mosquito populations.
Excerpts
We observed a worse overall survival rate that was marginally significant in AML patients showing high levels of miR-181b-5p (p = 0.042; log-rank test) ( Fig. 3G ).
The multivariate results confirmed that an SUV max ≥8.65 was a highly significant predictor for OS for locoregional recurrent patients (HR = 4.882; 95%CI = 1.055–22.590; P = 0.042; Table 2 ), independent of restage, EBV DNA level, family history of tumor, gender and age.
Men who reported past HIV testing were not more or less likely to have prevalent HIV infection, but men who reported testing and not returning for HIV test results were nearly twice as likely to be HIV infected on presentation to the clinic and this association reached borderline significance, p = 0.042.
In the control group there was a barely detectable statistically significant difference in mean IMR ( F (2–16) = 3.897, p = 0.042), and the Bonferroni post hoc test did not reveal significant difference between time points.
In contrast, patients with severe forms of CAD such as LMCAD had a stronger association with 9p21 than patients with obstructive CAD without LMCAD (OR 1.22, CI 1.01–1.48), even though it must be noted that these results were at the margin of statistical significance (p = 0.042; Figure 2 , Table 6 ).
Logistic regression revealed a significant effect of country (LRT = 8.65, p = 0.013), with a higher prevalence in Tanzania than in Cameroon (p = 0.024, OR = 0.44 [0.21, 0.87]), whereas subsistence mode was marginally significant (LRT = 6.33, p = 0.042), likely due to a complete absence of ST2 in fishers ( S4 Table ).
Duration of Incarceration After adjusting for age, sex, season, and BMI, there was a weakly significant relationship between the duration of incarceration and serum 25(OH)D level in all inmates (β = 0.91, adjusted r 2 = 0.07, p = 0.042) ( Figure 4 ).
of borderline significancep = 0.042
However, the effect on the risk of MSD was small and of borderline significance (p = 0.042 and p = 0.48 for children aged 0–11 months and 12–23 months, respectively).
Furthermore, a borderline significant impact (p = 0.0422) was seen for ‘year of age at baseline’.
That is, the duration of exposure at higher temperatures had a highly significant impact (P>0.0001) on survival, but only marginally significant (P = 0.0423) at lower temperatures.
The corresponding correlations of male and female age groups with titers for the second period was -0.36 and- 0.07975, respectively, and they were marginally statistically significant (p = 0.043) and not significant (0.48), correspondingly.
The levels of 5mC and 5hmC did not change significantly due to the exposure to ionizing radiation at any dose rate level, however the 5mC:5hmC-ratio were borderline significant (p = 0.043) for the HDR exposure group using Dunnett`s test ( Fig 8 ).
The entire clutch of eggs was consumed more quickly when nest abundance low, although the difference was only marginally significant (Z = 2.02, p = 0.043).
falciparum densities and found only a small, barely significant, correlation (r = 0.092, p = 0.043) in a clinically-homogeneous group of 487 children with UM.
We also found a borderline significant association between the C-allele of TMEM154 -rs6813195 and a lower insulinogenic index again both in the analysis with (n = 5,181, β = -0.032, p = 0.043) and without adjustments for BMI (n = 5,182, β = -0.031, p = 0.052) in Inter99.
The only exceptions appeared with pinch after normalization of the data to BJ (although at the limit of significance, p = 0.043, z = 2.78); 4.
A post-hoc ANOVA revealed that feeding treatment significantly impacted δ 15 N ( P < 0.001), whereas an interaction between time and treatment was slightly significant ( P = 0.043).
The model of sudden population growth was rejected in Kruger, but with marginal significance (SSD = 0.029, p = 0.043).
Using a Bonferroni comparison for post-hoc analysis, this difference was only marginally significant (p = .043, mean difference ± SD between taVNS-Sham: 0.86 ± 1.88°C).
A trend towards an association of the T allele with lower HOMA-B (p = 0.063) was also observed; the association with metabolic syndrome was nominally significant (p = 0.043).
Only marginal significance was observed in patients with diabetes ( P = 0.0435), and the benefits of statins in lowering fracture risk were vanished in hypertensive patients with diabetes ( P = 0.1341).
borderline significancep = 0.0437
Results are listed in tables 3 and 4 ; similarly to our Filipino trio association results only rs494723 showed borderline significance (p = 0.0437).
3.3 Geometric morphometrics of the enamel pattern of lower premolars The lower premolars show a marginally significant relationship between shape (as defined by the Procrustes coordinates) and log centroid size (p = 0.0437).
Be wary of the type 1 errors - with sometimes barely significant results (p = .044) and different experimental settings your study is not replicated yet.
