We detected the same significant reduction in the striatum of R6/2 mice for Dbc1 and Ampk -α1, and there was a weak trend for Sirt1 ( Fig 9A ).

Although there was no significant change in percentage of plaque compositions, fibrofatty tissue showed an increasing trend from baseline to 9 months follow-up.

A borderline significant association was seen among IGF2 and H19 in cord blood and GDM-M/NGT-M.

No significant difference in RDS of any severity was seen across the intrauterine growth restriction studies (pooled OR: 0.81, 95% CI 0.59–1.11; 4 studies, 504 infants), nor in the majority of reports on SGA infants, though pooled analyses revealed a clear trend favouring ACS (pooled OR: 0.83, 95% CI 0.66–1.05, 8 studies, 1126 infants).

Our study using hourly temperature data in a large international study population corroborates the findings of a Taiwanese study with known hourly temperature data at ICH onset which showed a trend of increased ICH occurrence towards the lower temperature and is also consistent with prior investigations and clinical observation of a peak ICH occurrence in the winter due in part to the trigger effect of low ambient temperature on the risk of ICH onset at particular times of the day [ 2 – 5 , 25 ].

To illustrate and contrast the computational time of each approach, we begin by considering the analysis time for each of two genes, Lipoprotein, Lp(A) (LPA) and Proline/Serine-Rich Coiled-Coil 1 (PSRC1) with 67 and 5 SNPs respectively, both highly significant based on minP and the C s statistic (results not shown) in CARDIoGRAM.

A highly significant value for IL6 was only observed when considering the adult group, but it must be highlighted that this gene was detected in few samples, which were the ones used for statistical calculations.

Nevertheless, an interesting trend in rapid fatigue management could still be objectively inferred.

Results Time trends in food habits Fruit consumption As shown in Table 2 , a positive trend in adolescents’ fruit consumption was observed for Norway (OR 1.85, CI 1.54–2.23), Denmark (OR 1.66, CI 13.6–2.02) and Sweden (OR 1.36, CI 1.12–1.66) when comparing survey year 2001/2002 with 2005/2006.

There has been an increasing trend in its incidence, which may be attributed to early diagnosis and a concurrent increase in screening and surveillance intensity.

With respect to main bile acid species, there was a highly significant and positive correlation between FGF-19 levels and total bile acids, free bile acids, primary bile acids, secondary bile acids, taurine-conjugated bile acids and glycine-conjugated bile acids.

However, a highly significant correlation was identified in a subsequent analysis when the total RNA level was correlated against the multiplicative interaction of two factors, the blood DNA level and the RNA content per WBC.

The destabilizing effect of a mismatch is depending on the base pair type with a clear trend for the order of decreasing stability: G-C > A-T > G·G > G·T ≥ G· A > T·T ≥ A·A > T·C ≥ A· C ≥ C·C [ 33 ].

Second, although the highly significant association between HJURP and susceptibility to HCC is derived from a biologically based a priori hypothesis, our initial findings should be verified in other independent populations with large number of subjects.

They found a highly significant relationship between GGT and breast cancer risk with hazard ratios of >2 for quartiles three and four in comparison to quartile one in a multivariate model.

They found their hypothesis supported by the finding that a positive trend for an association between GGT and overall cancer incidence was observed in current drinkers, but not in ever drinkers.
