The highly significant PRCC value associated with this parameter indicates that the accurate estimation of the natural death rate of black flies is crucial for predicting avian and black fly prevalences.
Excerpts
However, survival analysis revealed that MSH6 expression was not associated with prognosis, whereas treatment was an independent prognostic factor for OS and there was marginally significant correlation between age and OS time in this validation group of patients ( Table 5B ).
In both Experiment 1 addressing interspecific competition and Experiment 2 addressing intra- and interspecific competition simultaneously, there was a highly significant effect of plot on the movement patterns of urchins and abalone (interspecific competition at day 1, and intra- and interspecific competition at weeks 4 and 6) ( Table 5 ).
In the first regression for all MCAs -Model 1-, we found that, after controlling for municipalities’ socioeconomic characteristics, the densities of physicians, nurse professionals and nurse associates have an inverse effect on neonatal mortality and these effects are highly significant.
Eighty three patients carrying this allelic assortment had a highly significant lower rate of SVR in multivariate analysis (Pc = 0.009).
Pravastatin treatment showed a trend towards decreased bacterial loads in the spleen ( Figure 2B ) and liver ( Figure 2C ), when compared to control mice group.
Given the importance of miR-150 not only in myeloid differentiation, but also in megakaryocytic, lymphoid, and natural killer cell development, and most recently in adhesion of bone marrow progenitors, elucidating how miR-150 is regulated is also highly significant [ 9 , 28 - 30 , 56 ].
Preliminary three color fluorescence confocal microscopy experiments in cells cultured on DQGreen-BSA Matrigel for 6 hrs demonstrated that, indeed, actin was co-localized with cortactin in the areas of observed focal proteolysis of ECM bound DQGreen-BSA in a highly significant manner in Matrigel (data not shown).
Total work showed a trend to increase with reduced dietary protein content, but the differences were not statistically significant ( Figure 6 ).
Studies indicate a decreasing trend for energy expenditure at work [28] , and workers in many professions spend on average more than 70% of their work time sitting [29] , [30] .
As discussed above, comparative analysis of the two clades revealed significant differences in the allocation of carbohydrate-utilizing genes ( Figure 3A ), and highly significant overrepresentation of genes that degrade plant related carbohydrates such as xylose, arabinose and pectin in the terrestrial clade ( Figure 3B ).
Mitochondria have been shown to be crucial for tumor development [ 36 ] and our previous studies identified a highly significant correlation between DCL expression and mitochondrial-related genes [ 9 ].
However, the summary OR and its 95%CI were just above 1 (1.47 and 1.22 to 1.77, respectively), suggesting that this positive association is nearly borderline significant and may have been biased by some confounders introduced by those non-high-quality studies [ 19 , 22 - 24 , 38 ].
In the primary study, IgG responses to all V2 subtypes in aggregate showed a borderline significant inverse correlation with infection risk, whereas no significant association with risk was seen for the C1, V3 and C5 responses [ 32 ].
The expression of miR-181a showed a trend similar to that of TNF-α , indicating that it may vary according to changes in TNF-α .
The Pearson correlation r ( p <0.0001) was highly significant for all schemes with d w = 0.6 mm in Table 1 , however this measure emphasizes the strongest connections.
From the cytogenetic point of view, a highly significant association was found between meningiomas carrying isolated monosomy 22/del(22q) alone and high levels of infiltration by TiMa, most tumors carrying isolated monosomy 22/del(22q) (14/17 cases, 82%) showing infiltration by ≥23% TiMa ( Table 1 ).
It can be noted a slightly significant increase in the CdCl 2 -exposed WT cells overthrowing dexamethasone protective effect ( Figure 6B ).
In the third model, CVC showed a trend towards longer first-line regimens (HR=0.91; 0.79-1.05) but failed to reach statistical significance.
A decreasing trend towards the T H 1 cytokines (IFNγ) in KC, may suggest presence of complex imbalance in the cytokines leading to altered epithelial and stromal function in this disease [ 16 ].
observed decreased IL-13 level in tears of severe KC and an increasing trend in IL-17 [ 16 ].
Furthermore, the expression of Tpsb2 derived from ovarian MCs showed a significant positive correlation with the expression of Tex101 , expressed in nest-stage oocytes, and showed a trend of negative correlation with the expression of Zp3 , expressed in the primary follicle [ 35 , 36 ] ( Figure 4B , 6K, and 6L).
Results The effect of environmental changes on soil physicochemical indices and gene abundances In the first experiment, for the six soil physicochemical indices (total C, total N, NH 4 + -N, NO 3 - -N, water contents and pH), as PFG number decreased from 3 to 0, only NO 3 - -N content showed an increasing trend, although its difference among the four PFG gradients was non-significant ( P >0.05; Fig. 1a1–f1 ).
Our study showed that phase shift decreased in PCA in the patients with moderate BA stenosis when comparing with normal condition and the reduction of phase shift in severe BA stenosis is highly significant when comparing with normal and moderate condition.
The production of IL-4 may be significant because it could contribute to airway hypersensitivity responses that are common in SCD children [41] – [43] .
