This was particularly evident for the anti-pseudomonal β-lactams aztreonam and ceftazidime; however, a clear trend of increased resistance was apparent over time.

The incorporation of PLGA in PCPI and PIPI promoted a decreasing trend of the pH value where it lowered down to 6.87 for PCPI and 6.35 for PIPI at day 7.
