The time traces show a microwave burst that reaches a maximum several microseconds after the laser flash and, although at each laser power there is a distribution of both amplitude and delay, a clear trend is observed: at higher laser power, the signal amplitude is larger and the delay is shorter.
When SC loss in juvenile (P6/P7) and neonatal (P0/P1) cochleas was quantitatively compared 6 days after recombination, juvenile SCs showed a highly significant increase in survival (juvenile: 6.3% ± 2.0 vs. neonatal: 47.4% ± 1.4).
This observation is highly significant in that FLIM can be used as a non-invasive characterisation method to elucidate the metabolic kinetics in 3D in vitro models; therefore, suggesting a future usability of FLIM to various applications including the screening of pharmaceutical reagents and novel drug candidates on 3D cell-based in vitro assays.
Of note, EC and LTNP were characterized by an inverse pattern of the 263del and the Bw4-I80 supratype, the former being the strongest marker of the EC status and the latter the weakest with borderline significance ( Fig. 3B ), whereas this pattern was switched in LTNP ( Fig. 3C ).
Notice that the obtained values of H are very low, showing a high degree of anti-persistence (strong trend-reversing), so that an increasing trend in the experimental data values will tend markedly to be followed by a decreasing trend, or a decrease on average will be followed by a robustly increasing trend.
Our trial suggests that there is a highly significant correlation between carotid artery wall movement and BPV, whether participants are younger or older, male or female, or diagnosed with essential hypertension or not, which is consistent with our above result.
Similar to antibacterial and antiviral peptides, a decreasing trend in accuracies is observed for all the sample sizes, while PHYC and STRL features are not included in prediction.
However, the effects of the zeta potential and hydrodynamic diameter of the obtained AgNPs on adsorption capacity of Fe 3 O 4 @PDA for AgNPs did not show a clear trend.
In line with the results of ECOG 2597 study on non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) 14 , HART failed to show survival benefit but did demonstrate a significant trend towards an increased risk of BM after PCI compared with HART in our research.
After removing the two clearly divergent individuals FCant5 and FNZ1, and despite small sample sizes, the difference between FCant and the other two samples was nearly significant for the Mann-Whitney test, although not for the post-hoc Tukey’s test ( Table 2 ).
Serum cotinine levels were positively associated with rhinitis ever (adjusted odds ratio [AOR] = 2.95; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.15–7.60) and current rhinitis (AOR = 2.71; 95% CI: 1.07–6.89), while the association for physician-diagnosed rhinitis approaching borderline significance (AOR = 2.26; 95% CI: 0.88–5.83).
We found a borderline significant negative interaction between serum cotinine levels and allergic sensitization on current rhinitis ( P cotinine-allergic sensitization = 0.07).
Mean annual temperature is negatively correlated to MSAA and is a significant predictive variable in Mastigouche and Sussex common gardens, and is almost significant in Valcartier (see Supplementary Table S4 ).
only origins with high levels of MSAA in an area) but a clear trend in the distribution of resistant and non-resistant trees is observed and supported statistically.
Cape Recife (site A) had noticeably lower nutrient concentrations, particularly for DIN, compared to the other sites, with all showing a decreasing trend from inlet seepage water to the ocean ( Table 1 ).
Again, and in keeping with the data from the skin analysis, there was a highly significant increase in the number of macrophages present in the peritoneal lavage from the CXCR2-deficient mice ( Fig. 4bv ) which also displayed an enhanced proportion of mast cells ( Fig. 4bvi ).
Effect of salinity on shoot biomass of the alfalfa genotypes Highly significant effects were found for treatments, genotypes and their interactions on biomass ( Table 2 ).
Inclusion of the F2R-related expression probe together with the 350 probes with FDR < 0.10 in the sex-stratified analysis described above reveals a highly significant female specificity of the effect of smoking on this gene.
Thus, the median rank value of the 92 CpG sites of Table 4 was 3,048 (out of a total of 410,987 sites examined; top 0.7%) in females and 195,213 in males in NSHDS, and 9,098 (top 2%) and 218,704, respectively, in EPIC Italy, thus demonstrating a clear trend of higher female sensitivity in both cohorts.
