In the GRK2 siRNA-transfected ob/ob mice, the hypoglycemic effects of insulin administration showed a trend similar to that in the control siRNA-transfected lean mice (Supplementary Fig. 4C ).

LINC - ROR rs2027701 showed an obvious trend towards a superior reaction with toxic effects in patients with one or two variant alleles compared with those with the wild-type genotype (OR = 0.503, 95%CI = 0.303–0.835, P = 0.008).

A clear trend, for example, is seen in the drug design industry: Sanofi signed a $120 M deal with Schrödinger, a molecular modeling software company, in 2015.

Although our results showed a trend of increasing antioxidant capacity, the significantly decreased oxidative stress may suggest the possibility of the reduced occurrence of oxidative damage, which may partially contribute to improving functional and health-related outcomes.

From Table 1 , it is obvious that C 4 shows an increasing trend (+0.003% yr −1 ), whereas those of C 5 –C 12 diacids (particularly, C 5 , C 7 , C 8 , C 9 , and C 12 ) show significant (p < 0.05) decreasing trends during the study period.

The APRI, FIB-4, RPR and GPR showed an increasing trend with fibrosis stages in CHB patients.

Moreover, when promoter occupancy of Pol I and UBF was compared between PGC-1α competent wild-type and PGC-1α knock-out tissue, we found a highly significant difference of Pol I and UBF binding to the rDNA promoter after precipitating the same amount of protein (Fig. 3b ).

In fact, at the highest dose of 10 μM, RGFP966 exposure resulted in a slight trend of decrease in neurite length (Fig. 5a ).

The values of the maximum quantum yield of photosystem II ( F v / F m ), the effective photochemical quantum yield of PSII (ΦPSII), and the photochemical quenching ( qP ) showed a decreasing trend related to NaCl concentration and treatment duration (Fig. 1A–C ).

Consistently, no additional significant increase in LC3-II was observed in the CQ plus ZAS-treated group compared to the ZAS only-treated group, as determined by the western blot assay, although an increasing trend was observed at 4 h (Fig. 4C,D ).

This suggests a similar endocytic membrane trafficking defect. Using the Rab5 endosomal marker in quantified comparisons, both dfmr1 null mutants (0.1 ± 0.03 μm 2 , n = 23 boutons, p < 0.001) and PN-targeted shrub OE GOF (0.04 ± 0.01 μm 2 , n = 29, p < 0.01) show highly significant increases in the number of endosomes per synaptic bouton area compared to controls (Fig. 3C ).

Using the regression coefficients of the 9 nominally significant (α = 0.05) SNPs (rs885479, rs1805008, rs1805007, rs28777, rs12896399, rs1042602, rs1393350, rs12821256, rs12203592; see Supplementary Table S2 , available) as weights, we calculated a polygenic score in the cortisol/cortisone sample according to β 1 *rs885479 + ... + β 9 * rs12203592.

From 1988 to 2008, there was an increasing trend of hypertension prevalence in Americans aged 40 years and older 11 , however, the prevalence of hypertension in Japan 13 , Germany 14 , Italy 16 and Korea 17 decreased.

It is worth noting that some beneficial microbes, such as Arthrobacter and Chaetomium , presented an increasing trend in ATS soils in Muping, Laizhou, and Huludao.

The ipsilesional RMT showed a trend of positive correlation with the CBF in M1 (Fig. 6c ).

The polarization dependence of the spCARS signals was studied when the polarization of the analyzer was parallel to the pump and Stokes beams (which are parallel to each other) because the results when the polarization of the analyzer was perpendicular to the beams were not significantly different, except for a slight trend in the absolute spCARS intensity.

Although a highly significant drop in HIV RNA of −3.10 Log 10 was observed on day 4 after administration of 20 mg to participant 5, review of pre-study HIV RNA levels suggested a lower set-point HIV RNA load was normal for this participant thus mitigating the magnitude of the observed antiviral effect in this participant.

Stimulation with αGalCer led to highly significant induction of pro-and anti-inflammatory cytokines, while stimulation with the native compound ( Eh LPPG) induced much lower cytokine levels, with greater induction of pro-inflammatory cytokines (i.e., IL-2, TNFα, IL-17, and IL-6) than anti-inflammatory cytokines (i.e., IL-10).

We found highly significant up-regulated mRNA expression of TNFAIP3 that negatively correlated with disease activity in UC. mRNA levels of ITCH, RNF11 and Tax1BP1 were significantly down-regulated.

Inhibition of neuronal cell death and retinal damage dependent MG proliferation was efficient with either ZVDL or Nec1+ ZVAD, which both reduced CASP8 expression and showed a trend increase in RIPK3, a regulator of RIPK1 activation and inhibitor of CASP8-mediated compensatory proliferation in other systems 73 .

On the contrary, evidences tended to favor HDAraC in some trials: in Medical Research Council (MRC) AML 15 trial, halving dosage from 3 g/m 2 to 1.5 g/m 2 was associated with a strong trend towards a higher cumulative incidence of relapse 11 ; and a per protocol analysis in SAL AML 2003 trial showed an OS advantage in the single-agent HDAraC group 10 .

In fact, EP4 receptor inhibition by GW627368X showed a trend of exacerbating the 6-OHDA-mediated cytotoxicity (Fig. 8A ).

From the study, we found a decreasing trend of syphilis prevalence, while HIV prevalence was consistent.

Although there was no increased tau or p-tau in the SCD group compared to HC individuals, a statistical trend towards lower Aß42 concentration in SCD patients compared to HCs was observable.

We did observe a borderline significant increase in FDG retention in the highly sensitive A549 tumor model (Fig. 6 ), but this was not a compensatory glycolytic stimulation caused by inhibition of tumor respiration, since tumor hypoxia was unaffected.
