Incubation with Wnt3a conditioned medium (CM) resulted in a small but statistically significant (p = 0.017) increase in Wnt pathway throughput, measured by luminescence following transient transfection of the Super Topflash reporter construct, in NCM460 cells and a robust and highly significant increase (p < 0.0001) in RKO cells (Figure 2A ).
19 The effect of albumin concentration on clearance was small (~ 3% increase over the range of albumin concentrations—17–53 g/L—in the dataset) but was highly significant ( P < 0.0001) and was thus kept in the model.
Obtaining a tumor-free surgical margin decreases the incidence of a local recurrence (LR) of the primary tumor.[ 18 ] There are various risk factors associated with a positive margin, among them are: The extent of excision, age, large tumor size, multifocality, lobular histological type, and the number of positive lymph nodes.[ 19 ] In 30 of 34 reviewed studies, persistent microscopic inadequate (R1) or macroscopic inadequate (R2) surgical margins were highly significant for LR compared to the negative margin (p = 0.0001).[ 20 ] Microscopic disease resulting from a positive margin is more problematic because theoretically, cancer in the relatively hypoxic environment of the lumpectomy scar bed will be resistant to radiation therapy.[ 21 ] Furthermore, the inability to achieve negative margins may be a marker of an excessive tumor burden in the treated breast.
For all 16 intersections of pairs of gene lists, the enrichment was highly significant ( p < 0.0001) ( Table S2 ).
TNFR1 expression significantly increased in all HIFU-treated Hep3B cells at both 24 and 72 h ( p < 0.0001) as compared to control, and there was also a highly significant difference in the expression between standalone HIFU and ethanol + HIFU treatment groups ( p < 0.0001).
Fatigue scores In both unadjusted and adjusted models, there were highly significant overall group and time effects ( p < 0.0001) in fatigue in the models with all four groups, with the three cancer groups having worse fatigue than the controls at each time point (Table 3 , Fig. 1 ).
Conversely, the treatment caused a highly significant ( p < 0.0001) decrease in Pol, Tax, and HBZ expression with respect to the untreated control in PB2/NO-IL-2 cells.
Results In the exploratory phase, WFNS and age were shown to be highly significant predictors for the outcome (p < 0.0001 for both).
Combined with the expression levels of TIAM2S measured in our previous work 1 , we found a highly significant correlation between Sp1 and TIAM2S expressions in these HCC samples (Fig. 5 C; r = 0.4567, P < 0.0001).
fMRI behavioral performances As expected, there was an highly significant main effect of working-memory load for both RT and accuracy (RT: F df(10) = 45.97, P < 0.0001; accuracy: F df(10) = 28.4, P < 0.0001) that depended on lengthened RT and reduced accuracy for progressively higher working-memory loads.
Furthermore, strain had highly significant effects on weight gain (p<0.0001), fat mass (p = 0.0002), and lean mass (p<0.0001), which did not interact with treatment ( Fig. 2A–E ).
Among the 30 older participants there were highly significant correlations between the right precuneus and the CVLT short and long delay free and cued recall scores (SDFR r = 0.636, p < .0001; SDCR r = 0.593, p < .001; LDFR r = 0.551, p < .005; LDCR r = 0.634, p < .0001), and with the CVLT Learning Slope (LS) (r = 0.67, p < .0001).
The methylation difference between normal and tumor tissue in these cells exceeded 80% and was highly significant (p <0.0001).
The results showed that the maximum difference was apparent at 2 kHz (29.9 ± 1.3 dB vs. 24.6 ± 0.5 dB, P = 0.0001) (Mitchell et al. 2009 ).
As shown in Table 4 , the model exhibited highly significant differences ( p < 0.0001), with the lack-of-fit term yielding a p of 0.3237 (>0.05).
Two-way mixed ANOVA showed a highly significant Time × Treatment interaction (F (4,95) = 39.77, P < 0.0001), along with significant main effects of Time (F (1,95) = 356.8, P < 0.0001) and Treatment (F (4,95) = 147.1, P < 0.0001).
Our results are accordance with Jampoka et al., 36 who reported a highly significant increase in the serum levels of mi-RNA-122 in NAFLD patients compared to the control group. 36 For mi-RNA-122, the AUC was 0.831 ( p < 0.0001) with 75.0% sensitivity and 82.35% specificity.
Second, the retrospective evaluation of 1292 consecutive patients who underwent deltoid muscle biopsy for diagnostic purposes showed a highly significant association ( p < 0.0001) between chronic myalgias and the presence of MMF at biopsy ( 2 ).
5.2.3 ROS Estimation Cells grown on PCL membrane exhibited a highly significant decrease ( p < 0.0001) in ROS generation at days 1, 2, and 7 of hFOB culture in comparison to the H 2 O 2 -treated positive controls ( Figure 6 ).
Comparison of each MOI group to the control group showed significant (MOI 8: p = 0.0168) to highly significant (MOI 16–256, p < 0.0001) increases in the absolute number of BFP + cells/mm 2 ( Figure 5 c).
The one way ANOVA test revealed a highly significant difference (P-value<0.0001) in the average number of in-chorion contractions between dose groups, and the Tukey-Kramer HSD test identified all pairwise differences as significant at a familywise error rate of 0.05.
This was supported by statistical analysis that revealed that the frequency of polarization in HIV-1-infected T cells was highly significant compared to contacts formed between two uninfected T cells (odds ratio [OR] at 10 min, 1; OR at 20 min, 9; OR at 60 min, 17.9; Fisher's exact test, P < 0.0001) ( Fig. 1C ).
The results presented in Figure 1B–C clearly support our hypothesis: antibody treatment did not significantly impact tumor growth in B16.F10 challenged mice ( P = 0.1850); whereas the effect on B16.F10-GP challenged mice were highly significant ( P <0.0001).
