The overlap between the target genes of MEIS1 and MEIS2 was highly significant (Fisher’s exact test, OR = 48.3 [23.7–93.2] with P = 4.8*10 −18 for upregulated genes, OR = 172.3 [72.3–387.3] with P = 5.6*10 −20 for downregulated genes).

All three endogenous miRNAs showed positive and highly significant correlations with the spike-in control (miR-16: r = 0.691 and P = 5×10 −18 , miR-31 r = 0.734 and P = 3.2×10 −21 , miR-223 r = 0.637 and P = 8.5×10 −15 ).
We also observed a highly significant correlation between ancestry and height (p = 5.047×10 −18 ) after correcting for the effect of sex (full model r 2 = 0.7411, r 2 for sex = 0.4247; r 2 for ancestry = 0.3164).
However, the correlation of the number of childhood adverse life events and the GHQ sum score was highly significant (Spearman R = 0.279, two-tailed P = 5.28×10 −18 ), suggesting a relationship between childhood stress and recent psychological distress.

However, by zone 3 the PC of chromosome III was paired in 90% of wild-type nuclei, but only in 48% of s pd-3(me85) mutant nuclei ( Figure 3B ), and this difference is highly significant ( p = 7E-18).
81 compounds were shared, and this finding is highly significant ( p = 7 × 10 − 18 , two-sided Fisher’s Exact Test) (Fig. 5 c).
