For instance, our meta-analysis revealed a clear trend for basophil and NK-cell fractions to increase with age (Fig. 2 a, Stouffer Z = 11, P < 10 −20 for NK and Z = 10, P < 10 −20 for basophils), strengthening preliminary findings from others [ 90 – 93 ].

Our results show a clear trend of increased total lipid levels with the progression of pregnancy (R 2 = 0.78, FDR-adjusted p -value = 8.05 × 10 −9 , Figure 1 ).

The overall survival (OS) curve showed a clear trend, with patients classified in the high-risk group based on the risk scores experiencing increased mortality risk and shorter survival times ( p = 4.5e-7, HR = 2.66) ( Figure 5D ).

In the multivariable Cox regression model presented in Table 4 , low dietary probiotic intake was divided into quintiles, and in the crude model, cancer mortality risk gradually decreased with higher intake levels, demonstrating significant differences and a clear trend (p < 0.0001).

The overall average gene gains and losses show a clear trend of fewer genes gained by thermophilic fungi (2.23 times fewer genes gained than mesophilic, p = 0.00091 - [WT]), and more genes lost (1.06 times more genes lost than mesophilic, p = 0.6361 - [WT]); and the opposite trend in mesophilic fungi.

This effect did not reach significance, but a clear trend was observed ( p < 0.001).

Baseline to 3-months changes in HbA1c based on starting HbA1c (n=262) The data from Table 2 underscores a clear trend where individuals in the case group with the highest initial HbA1c levels (≥9.0%) experienced the most significant HbA1c reduction of -3.67% (p < 0.001).

Additionally, we observed a clear trend of increasing serum calcium levels with declining eGFR ( p < 0.001, Supplementary Table 2 ).
