Of 21,439 studied river reaches, 78.8% of them (7.4 × 10 5 km) exhibited a decreasing trend, and 33.0% (3.2 × 10 5 km) were statistically significant ( P < 0.05), while only 2.2% (1.7 × 10 4 km) showed significantly increasing trends ( Fig. 1B ).
Compared to the mild coronary artery stenosis group (Gensini≤31), the moderate-to-severe coronary artery stenosis group (Gensini>31) had significantly higher proportions of males and individuals with a history of smoking, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05).Laboratory tests revealed that in the Gensini >31 group, WBC, NE, CRP, Scr, UA, LDH, cTnT, and NT-proBNP levels were significantly higher compared to the Gensini ≤31 group (all P < 0.05).Regarding echocardiographic parameters, the Gensini >31 group showed an increasing trend in LVEDD and a decreasing trend in LVEF, with both differences being statistically significant (P < 0.05).
Although FBN1 levels showed a decreasing trend in both groups, the intergroup difference did not reach statistical significance ( P > 0.05), as detailed in Table 3 .
Conversely, available potassium exhibited a decreasing trend ( Figure 1e ), with a significant reduction in the surface soil ( p < 0.05), while changes in the deeper layer were minor ( p > 0.05).
Although the Simpson ( Figure 4 D) and Shannon ( Figure 4 E) indices also showed a decreasing trend, the differences were not statistically significant ( p > 0.05).
RI values in both groups increased from T1 to T4 compared with T0 but presented a decreasing trend over time; RI values in Group M were significantly lower than those in Group C at all postoperative intervals ( p < 0.05).
Following heparin administration, serum HP levels increased significantly ( p < 0.05), while MK and PTN levels showed a decreasing trend that did not reach statistical significance ( p > 0.05).

The interpretation of trends followed predefined statistical criteria: a decreasing trend (p-value<0.05 with a negative coefficient), an increasing trend (p-value<0.05 with a positive coefficient), and a stable trend (p-value≥0.05), according to a validated methodology ( 19 ).
Although the levels of OC, OPG, PINP, and PTH were not significantly different across DII scores, a decreasing trend was found with the increasing DII ( p > 0.05).

Although there was a decreasing trend in scores with age, there was no significant difference between the age groups of 5–7 years and 7–9 years (p > 0.05).
A decreasing trend was observed in the case of colistin, which was statistically significant ( p ≤ 0.05) in 2023 (53/180; 29.44%) compared to 2022 (25/56; 44.64%) ( Figure 6 ).
In the open-field test, EA + FMT(ASD) mice demonstrated a significantly reduced total distance traveled in the central area compared to EA mice, while activity time showed a decreasing trend (Fig. 8C, D , total distance P < 0.05, activity time P > 0.05).
Similarly, awareness of the use of digital software for diagnosis and virtual treatment planning also showed a decreasing trend, with 43.3% of third-year students reporting awareness, compared to 30.9% in fourth-year students and 24.7% in fifth-year students ( p < 0.05).
