Some studies have reported a non-significant relationship with stroke severity (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale, NIHSS) on multivariable analysis, though there was a trend toward significance. 21 , 33 In contrast, other studies report an association that remained significant on multivariable analysis. 34 In a cohort of lacunar strokes, those with severe frailty were approximately 2.5-times more likely to have a severe stroke than individuals with non-severe frailty. 35 Other studies in ischemic strokes of embolic etiology have also reported a significant but weak association between FI and NIHSS. 14 These disparate findings may reflect the different methods of assessing frailty, limited sample size, and heterogeneous controlling for bias.
33 In addition to examining the effects of CYP3A4 on surrogate markers, an observational case-control study involving 186 patients receiving clopidogrel for ACS found only a trend toward significance of an association between the presence of a CYP3A4 polymorphism and the occurrence of a repeat cardiovascular event while receiving clopidogrel (16.8% vs 9.6%, P = 0.052). 34 CYP3A5 A multivariate analysis of 348 patients treated with clopidogrel after planned stent placement investigated the effect of a CYP3A5 polymorphism on the risk of atherothrombotic events at one and six months post-procedure. 35 The study identified CYP3A5 polymorphisms as an independent predictor of atherothrombotic events at six months follow-up.
Although all different modalities showed a trend toward significance for the DRB1 molecule, only the EMS-3D score indicated statistical significance between patients On-IS vs. patients with stable chimerism (0.45 [0.30–0.61] vs. 0.24 [0.18–0.36], p=0.036), in which the significance was lost after applying the Bonferroni correction.
The present study revealed a significant correlation between the WHO 2004 grade of urothelial carcinoma cases and the immunohistochemical expression of CA19.9 ( P value was 0.021), CA19.9 was over expressed immunohistochemically in low-grade urothelial carcinoma than in high-grade tumors, and these results were supported by studies done by Chuang and Liao[ 8 ] and Kajiwara et al .,[ 15 ] on the other hand no significant correlation was found between immunohistochemical scoring of CA19.9 and the WHO 2004 grade of urothelial carcinoma cases; despite that there was a trend toward significance ( P value 0.06) in which moderate and strong immunohistochemical scoring of CA19.9 was found more in low-grade tumors while negative staining was associated with high-grade tumors, taking in consideration that to the best of this knowledge; this study is the only study in which the 2004 grading system of urothelial carcinoma had been used in evaluating CA19.9 immunohistochemical expression.
However, for cognitive change, a relatively large effect size was observed with a Cliff delta of 0.12, and the P value was .07, showing a trend toward significance, suggesting that the adapted number of questions condition exhibited a tendency for greater cognitive change compared with the random number of questions condition.
