Endothelial function showed a trend towards improvement but did not reach statistical significance (max. dilation p = 0.072), whereas the pulse wave velocity, a marker for the vessel stiffness, decreased significantly in the intervention group.

SP-A showed a clear trend, but the difference in SP-A levels between NPH subset and control group did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.052).
