Extending the results of a previous study that showed a trend toward a correlation of circulating irisin with BMI in subjects with a BMI range from 20 to 48 kg/m 2 ( 6 ), we previously reported a positive correlation of plasma irisin levels with BMI over a very broad spectrum of body weights with BMIs ranging from 8 to 85 kg/m 2 as well as positive associations with fat mass (FM), fat-free mass (FFM), and body cell mass (BCM) ( 11 ).
Among them, the TNT and IDEAL trials showed a trend toward an increase in new-onset diabetes for the atorvastatin 80 mg group compared with atorvastatin 10 mg (HR, 1.10; 95% CI, 0.94 to 1.29) or simvastatin 20 mg (HR, 1.19; 95% CI, 0.98 to 1.43).

There is no enough evidence to support the routine use of diuretics for prevention or treatment of congestive heart failure in HS-PDA, and a systematic review of the coadministration of furosemide in indomethacin-treated neonates showed a trend toward failure of ductal closure in furosemide-treated patients because furosemide increases prostaglandins production and could potentially decrease the ductal response to indomethacin [ 119 ].
In the case reported here, diagnosis was firstly established by clinical features and by culture, but later by the therapeutic response to the itraconazole which was remarkable, because in vitro studies Fusarium performed by other authors have showed a trend towards resistance to azole antifungals [20] .

Cross‐Sectional Associations of Circulating n‐3 ALA and n‐6 PUFA With CVD Risk Factors Circulating ALA was positively associated with plasma triglycerides, inversely associated with LDL‐C, and CRP, and showed a trend toward higher plasma HDL‐C ( P trend =0.08; Table 4 ) and higher sTNF‐R1 ( P trend =0.08).
Conduit vessel endothelial‐dependent vasorelaxation (brachial artery FMD) showed a trend to improve during pioglitazone treatment but this did not reach statistical significance, nor did microvascular endothelial function (RHI) significantly improve during treatment with active drug.
Several NSCLC trials and meta-analysis have compared sequential and concomitant combinations directly, almost all of which showed a trend in favor of concomitant radiochemotherapy.[ 5 , 6 ] However, some authors still believe that more evidence is required to prove the superiority of concurrent chemoradiation due to heterogeneity of the included trials in the meta-analysis, low patient numbers and lack of statistical power.[ 7 ] Most of the data supporting this observation comes from the developed world and rarely have good-quality clinical trials been carried out in developing countries.
