Overall, survival analyses showed a trend toward better OS for HPV-positive (67% survival) compared to HPV-negative (27% survival) patients but that did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.12), most probably due to the small number of HPV-positive cases ( Figure 4 A). 2.3. p16Ink4a Protein Immunohistochemical (IHC) Staining In view of the small number of HPV-positive HNSCC patients found in this cohort, and the limited amount of pathological materials available, a subset of 50 representative specimens were processed for p16 protein IHC staining.
Likewise, in multinomial logistic regression analysis taking ImA as a reference group, PLR counts were still significantly associated with the Im-Clus (age-adjusted OR 1.20, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.00–1.44 for ImB and 1.24, 95% CI 1.04–1.49 for ImC) and a tendency towards significance was observed for platelets (age-adjusted OR 1.08, 95% CI 0.98–1.19 for ImB and 1.03, 95% CI 0.93–1.14 for ImC) ( Table 1 ).
In a retrospective analysis that included 58 patients with NSCLC treated with anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapies, EGFR -mutant or ALK -positive patients showed a statistically significant shorter PFS and borderline significant lower ORR compared with EGFR wild-type and ALK -negative/unknown patients [ 42 ].

Quantification of luminescence derived from the metastases revealed a dramatic and significant reduction in metastatic burden in mice provided SLC-0111 compared to animals administered sunitinb or vehicle and showed a trend toward reduced metastasis in animals administered combination therapy ( Figure 1 e).
Although a slight increase of marginal significance in the total number of tumor GFP + cells was detected for co-cultures with TGF-β treated NIH3T3 in the microscale platform ( Figure 4 A.2), the overall effect on tumor growth was of similar magnitude regardless of the culture modality for both WT and TGF-β co-cultures.
In contrast, CRT ( n = 241) seemed to provide only a slight trend towards an OS advantage in R1-resected pts, emerging as a positive difference in median values of 3.5 months, as well as non-significant HR of 0.72 and 2-y and 5-y rates (30% vs. 19% with observation, and 18% vs. 8%, respectively).
Based on high (H) or low (L) BAP1 gene expression levels, we investigated the survival difference within these two groups and found that in LGG, HNSC and PRAD, the survival difference between BAP1 high- and low- expression patients was slightly significant (–log 10 ( p -value) >1.2) ( Figure 4 A, B).
