The PCA based on CM samples from HGSC-derived cultures ( Figure 4 (Bi–Biii)), in which the first two PCs accounted for 62.9% of the total explained variance, revealed also a trend by timepoint (day 14 or 21), while a clear trend by drug treatment condition was not identified ( Figure 4 (Bii,Biii)).
Moreover, GLOBOCAN 2020 shows a worrying trend that the incidence of liver cancer in many countries increasing significantly in recent years, including Iran, Afghanistan, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Iraq, and Nepal.
The static single measurement of the methylation status of both SEPT9 and SHOX2 showed a strong trend for hypermethylation in PCa patients but did not reliably distinguish between healthy individuals and men suffering from PCa.
As expected, MVR models built with full sets of eribulin and vinorelbine UFGs showed highly significant correlations with their cognate drugs ( Supplemental Figure S2 ).
As eight SNPs from three genes were investigated in our study, Bonferroni correction was used to account for multiple comparisons: p -values below 0.006 were considered statistically significant, while p -values between 0.006 and 0.050 were considered nominally significant.
In this retrospective cohort analysis of 36 patients with TP53 , the authors showed a trend for longer overall survival in monoallelic patients as compared to multi-hit patients following HSCT.
Patients who were resected with microscopically remaining tumor cells (R1) showed a trend towards higher baseline GP73 levels, though statistical significance was not reached ( p = 0.059, Figure 2 F).
Particularly, the median survival in patients with both mutations ( FLT3 -ITDm/ NPM1 m) was 98 months [OS at 3y and 5y 60% +/− 8 (SE) and 56% +/− 8 (SE), respectively], worse than in the FLT3 -ITDwt/ NPM1 m, with a borderline significance ( p : 0.06) [in the ITDwt/ NPM1 m: the median survival was undefined, at 3y and 5y OS 80% +/− 4.8 (SE) and 71% +/− 6 (SE), respectively].
Three studies reported on five-year PFS with a positive trend in favor of neoadjuvant therapy, but without reaching significance (OR 1.78; 95% CI 0.92; 3.44) ( Figure 14 ).
In our study, for example, children reported no significant mean improvement in treatment anxiety, while parents observed a statistically highly significant difference with a moderate effect size.
With the increase in age at diagnosis, the proportion of CVD deaths in male and female MM patients showed an increasing trend, while the proportion of MM deaths showed an opposite trend ( Figure S2E,F ).
With the improvement in the screening and treatment level, the incidence rate and mortality of CRC in developed countries have shown a decreasing trend.
Such a problem was reflected, for instance, in the possible role of HBV and HPV, in the development of CRC, based on the colorectal tissues: the former had a highly significant association but only one publication supported it, and the latter had an association just above significance, but was substantiated by 11 publications.
The subgroup analysis between the HCC recurrence as per the year of the study’s completion revealed a decreasing trend; however, it was not statistically significant. 3.3.
Although a considerable proportion of HIR patients still received EBRT ± VBT in earlier times, a significant trend of the increasing VBT utilization rate was observed.
Table 8 shows that among CS1 cases, there was a significant trend towards decreasing frequencies of cases with increasing tumour size, and an inverse trend was seen in stages with metastases ( p < 0.0001; Cochran–Armitage trend test).
Moreover, despite the low number of patients, a clear trend in immunological changes could be observed in most patients, which strengthens the hypothesis that treatment-induced immune modulation existed.
On the contrary, in an American HCC cohort ( n = 57) assessed to immunotherapy, sex-specific sarcopenia showed a trend of worse OS (HR: 1.71, 95%) but was not statistically significant ( p = 0.215) [ 64 ].
