Although parameters such as VI did not show differences in this study—possibly related to the sensitivity of the detection technique, the heterogeneity of the PCOS patient population, or sample size—the difference in blood flow patterns, together with elevated uterine artery resistance, points to an overall trend of poor blood flow perfusion in the uterine-endometrial complex.
Despite the absence of a clear trend, the Grey Zone patient exhibited a markedly elevated IL-6 level (221.30 pg/mL), comparable to the highest value in the VL-HLH group (167.40 pg/mL), and also showed the highest splenic SUVmax (9.85), suggesting an inflammatory and metabolic phenotype more closely aligned with the VL-HLH group.
Analysis of CD25 + and CD25 − B1a immunoglobulins showed a trend toward more N-less (and thus more germline like) sequences in the former (unpublished observations); however, this did not reach the level of significance and it will be necessary to examine antigen recognition rather than antibody structure to elucidate the origin of B1a continual signaling and CD25 expression.
DN-SCP-MCMV-infected mice treated with IL-18BP alone also succumbed by day 10, but although it did not reach statistical significance, a slight trend toward a better survival up to day 12 was nevertheless observed when the mice received a combination of DOX and IL-18BP (Figure 4 A).
