Overall, 82% of the southern basin exhibits a negative trend in forest cover.

All statistical tests were two-sided, with p -values < 0.05 considered nominally significant.
Experiment 3: When a clear trend in dust emission is present, it becomes possible to quantify the contribution of each driving factor more effectively.
However, storyline-based analyzes have pointed out the role of large-scale atmospheric circulation in decreasing precipitation extremes in the Mediterranean region during the cold season 34 , while observational records do not show a significant trend in annual precipitation 35 .
Notably, the ∆rstA single reporter strain showed a trend toward forming more curved cells relative to the WT single reporter strain, similar to analyses of the ∆ rstA dual reporter strain to WT and ∆ tcdR dual reporter strains (Supplementary Fig. 8b ).
Chiroptical spectroscopy is highly significant as enantiomers can produce significantly different responses when interacting with other chiral entities 5 , 6 .
The results demonstrated that, in contrast to the WT and Com- bre2 groups, the Δ bre2 group formed significantly fewer spores; however, it exhibited an increasing trend in mycelium production, although this trend was not statistically significant (Supplementary Fig. 3C–E ).
The comparison using non-parametric tests showed that EAAs have on average lower pleiotropy than NEAAs, however with borderline significance (Supplementary Fig. 7 ).
Among selected parameters, only age was associated with remission of clinical obesity, with borderline significance (Supplementary Table 9 ).
Kaplan-Meier estimates showed a trend for decreasing mortality with decreasing SED-time and increasing LPA, MVPA; total PA volume, maximal oxygen uptake (VO 2max ), and lower body muscle strength, either for baseline values (Fig. 4 , significant for LPA, total PA volume, and VO 2max ) or mean values throughout the study (Fig. 5 , significant for VO 2max ).
The present study did not consider indirect costs and related environmental impacts, but they may be significant, sometimes larger than the direct impacts 62 , 63 .
Establishment of the stroke heat risk grading prediction model Figure 1a shows that high-temperature exposure was associated with an increasing trend in stroke mortality risk among individuals younger than 65 years; however, the effect was not statistically significant for either sex.
Our findings are consistent with these studies, demonstrating a clear trend of increased stroke mortality risk due to heat exposure.
In contrast, an increasing trend is observed in Congo and subtropical Asia where forests have short leaf longevity (<~1.8 years).
The overall charge transfer resistance shows an increasing trend due to the potential segregation and accumulation of insulating fluorides (LiF and MgF 2 ).
We observed a positive association between CWM of fast strategy traits and alpha stability in the meadow steppe and the alpine meadow, with relatively high precipitation in each region, and a negative trend in the desert steppe, which has low precipitation (Fig.
In agreement with this finding, monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) represented by palmitoleic acid (C16:1) and oleic acid (C18:1) were decreased upon tyrosine deprivation, whereas polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), including linoleic acid (C18:2), arachidonic acid (C20:4) and adrenic acid (C22:4) showed an increasing trend (Supplementary Fig. 11i ).
Notably, without controlling for the number of nodes in the network, a negative trend of performance with the proportion of nodes with an unclassified taxonomic levels was observed for all three models for marine food webs and with higher taxonomic level proportion for stream and lake food webs, but results across other ecosystem types were positive or mixed.
The electroreduction of CO 2 to C 2+ oxygenates at industrial current density in acidic media is highly significant yet remains a challenge.
In contrast, BMs showed a trend of enrichment proliferating CD8+ T cells (CD8_Cycling).
Across loci, we observed a negative trend between activity and rigidity (Spearman ρ = −0.75; Fig. 9 B), indicating that more active loci tend to be mechanically more flexible.
When considered together, the adult and older adult groups displayed an expected trend of gradually accelerating hippocampal atrophy from the youngest adults (Figs. 4 A and 5A ) to the oldest octogenarians (Figs. 4 B, E and 5 B, E ).
Following analysis of ILC1s in the peripheral blood (PB) of healthy donors (HDs) and AML patients, we observed a highly significant increase in the percentage of ILC1s among total ILCs (CD127 + ) in AML patients relative to HDs (Fig. 1a and Supplementary Fig. 1a ).
However, the injection of UCB CD34 + cell-derived CD161 − ILC1s showed a trend towards better prolongation of survival than the injection of UCB CD34 + cell-derived NK cells in our LSC model (Fig. 6j, k ).
pneumoniae strains, we confirmed that the proportion of multicopy heterogeneity in clinical isolates may be significant and exceed our expectations.
