When examining the reason for this low specificity, we found an inherent weakness with these approaches: if a gene was highly significant in a small minority of datasets it would often pass significance thresholds after meta-analysis, even if no signal was observed in the remainder of the studies.
Excerpts
As we have shown here, this accumulation of cortical components has quite significant effects on the same signaling nodes that are also controlled by chemical stimuli.
IL-1β also showed an increasing trend, although it was not statistically significant (Fig. 5B ).
During the LGI, the particle flux increased at CDH19, was in an increasing trend but did not reach its maximum at V30-99, and did not increase at U1313 (Supplementary Fig. 6 ).
During the span of MIS 5e, all three Pa/Th records show a decreasing trend starting from an already low Pa/Th, likely indicating a continued AMOC strengthening after the recovery from Heinrich event 11.
A decreasing trend was observed for all programs except UCLUST, which almost exclusively created singleton (i.e., unclustered) clusters (Fig. 3 ).
The former may be significant due to the tendency of the perovskite surface to adopt lead iodide as the terminal, accompanied by a substantial number of halogen vacancies and undercoordinated lead ions.
We also show significant associations between known susceptibility genes, BRCA1 , BRCA2 , and PALB2 and overall BC risk, as well as nominally significant associations with CHEK2 , RAD51C , and TP53 .
Finally, when comparing the efficacy of AFM28 to that of the Fc-enhanced anti‐CD123 IgG1, there was a significant trend for superior AML blast reduction by AFM28 in comparison to the Fc-enhanced anti‐CD123 IgG1, in particular towards leukemic blasts with high CD64 expression (Fig. 2E–H and Supplementary Fig. 2E ).
In this way, we observed a decreasing trend of the association rate k Free → Bound from slow to fast growth regime, whereas the dissociation rate k Bound → Free remained constant (Fig. 3C , top).
an obvious trendgold
An obvious trend is the lengthening of the Warburg region as the loading density increases.
This leads to a notable enhancement in the thermal transport, with plateaus observed above room temperature in the thermal conductivities of CsAg 5 Te 3 and Cs 3 Bi 2 I 9 , or even an increasing trend in argyrodites 24 – 26 .
Interestingly, we observed that the expression levels of the full-length SlSPX5 transcript in the lines containing the deletion were not significantly down-regulated compared to those under Pi-replete condition, but rather showed a trend of induction by Pi deficiency (Fig. 6c ).
We found a highly significant overlap of genes regulated in the same direction (up or down relative to Col-0 control) in phot2 and camta2 in both temperatures [Fig. 3E ].
Meanwhile, the mass change of the Pt quartz electrode showed a trend of slight decline followed by an increase (Fig. 4c ).
Specific expression of unc-23 cDNA in epithelia, or the epithelial-expression of mouse BAG2, but not unc-23 expression in CEPsh glia or muscle, results in highly significant rescue of the CEPsh glia defects in unc-23 mutants (Fig. 4e ).
Of the three female-specific regions (gwas-pw), two contain genome-wide significant SNPs in females only and the third includes a SNP nearing significance in females only (Supplementary Fig. 11 ).
Pairwise comparisons using Fisher’s exact test show P = 0.042 (nominally significant) between full-length MYO7A and MYO7A-RK/AA on the formation of protein blobs at stereocilia tips (Supplementary Fig. 3a ).
Although these associations were highly significant, and inclusion of occupancy change increased the explained variation in naturalization success (Table S24 ), the standardized effect estimates were always smaller for the occupancy-change index than for occupancy in the early period (Tables S12 - S21 ).
Moreover, individuals who converted from A+T- to A+T+ showed an interaction effect of baseline Aβ laterality on tau laterality over time, only trending towards significance at Braak III-IV (β = 0.081, 95%CI = [0.015; 0.147], p Bonf = 0.051) and V-VI (β = 0.093, 95%CI = [0.014; 0.171], p Bonf = 0.061).
SUVR values from the temporal meta-ROI showed a trend toward higher average bilateral tau load in participants with asymmetric tau distribution compared to those with symmetric distribution, though this difference was statistically significant only between the right tau asymmetric group and the symmetric group (t = 2.688, p = 0.023).
Across probed models and across single cohorts, the nominally significant voxels were widespread throughout the brain, including the cerebellum, temporal and frontal areas, subcortical areas and somatosensory cortices.
The 17β-estradiol (E2) levels in F1 and F3 offspring in the PrP-exposed group displayed a decreasing trend (Fig. 1g ) and progesterone (P4) levels did not differ between the control and the exposed groups in all three generations (Fig. 1h ).
The highly significant correlation of spatial marine biodiversity (i.e. species richness) patterns simulated for 0 Ma with those from a previously-validated version of the SNCI 27 model, as well as with observations (foraminifera and fish) 24 , demonstrates that our macroecological model, forced with SSTs from the HadCM3 33 climate model, captures well present-day large-scale spatial biodiversity patterns, including the modern LBG (Fig. 1 ).
Gba mice showed a trend towards increased clasping, whereas Gba-SNCA mice showed a significant increase across all ages, indicating a synthetic motor phenotype (Fig. 1C and Supplementary Fig. 1H ).
