However, in Peverly, Garner and Vekaria’s study [ 10 ], the association approached significance (p = 0.08) and they argue the non-significant results may have been significant with a larger sample size (due to a lack of statistical power).
Drought effects were highly significant (P<0.001) when fitted before plot-level annual above-ground productivity ( Table 2A ), but they were only marginally significant (P = 0.08) when fitted after plot-level annual above-ground productivity ( Table 2B ).
There was a marginal trend for gender differences in depression level (p = 0.08) but not a significant difference in the unadjusted bivariate comparison.
In the Volleyball group, although there were no significant results regarding MC, comparisons did reveal a trend towards significance comparing the 10 to 12 and the 16 to 18 age group (p = 0.08), suggesting potential decreases in MC with age.
As regards physical activity, inconsistencies between parents and child-care staff with regard to promoting inactivity showed a trend for being associated with less MVPA (β = -.26, p = .08), as well as for a lower CPM (β = -.18, p = .099).
There was a marginally significant positive association between perceived binding foundations and favorability ( B = .03, SE = .02, t (202) = 1.77, p = .08).
Our results showed a trend toward a 4% increase in the NAA/tCr ratio between sham and tDCS conditions ( p = 0.08, Cohen’s d = 0.52) and no significant changes in any other metabolite ratios ( Fig 3 , Table 2 ).
Furthermore, besides the absence of statistical significance for the relationship between W PCr and rate of shots per rally of offensive style players, a clear trend can be assumed (i.e., r = 0.71, P = 0.08 and 1-β = 97%) and highlights the importance of W PCr development for athletes who wish to play the points with greater intensity, since rate of shots per rally could be a variable to represent intensity during table tennis matches.
With no covariates included, the treatment impact on H&F accuracy was positive, but not statistically significant ( ß = 0.14, SE = 0.08), but this effect grew larger when covariates were added, as our fully-controlled regression model indicated a marginally statistically significant effect of 0.18 ( SE = 0.09, p = 0.08).
Similarly, lovastatin had little effect on rumen fermentation characteristics except that the proportion of propionate increased, which led to a decreasing trend (P<0.08) in acetic: propionate ratio with increasing dosage of lovastatin.
Adjusted coefficients were larger than crude associations, not sensitive to modelling specifications, and statistically significant for highway proximity while of borderline significance for PM2.5 (P = 0.08).
42 [56.8%] of 74, p = 0.004, and showed a trend towards being more likely to have normal cognition at entry (4 (18.2%) of 22 vs. 30 (40.5%) of 74, p = 0.08).
Fig 3 shows that for the non-fasting group, there was an almost significant correlation between the time duration without food and the level of blood glucose (r = -0.33, P = 0.08; n = 30).
Exploratory Analysis Results : Further analysis revealed gender-specific effects: Male Participants: A marginally significant decrease in creative self-efficacy post-AI integration was found (t = 1.74, p = 0.08, d = 0.08), with a CI of -0.10 to 0.27.
At the post TSST measurement there was a positive correlation between higher cortisol levels and larger HDM wheal area size with the tendency toward significance, r s = 0.59, p = 0.08 ( Fig 4 ) .
There was a significant difference in sessile polychaete biomass among treatments (One-way ANOVA, p = 0.03), and post-hoc tests revealed a significant difference between the low-density aquaculture and natural treatments (Tukey’s post-hoc test, p = 0.03), a marginally significant difference between high-density aquaculture and natural (p = 0.08), and no difference between low- and high- density aquaculture (p = 0.89; Table 1 ; Fig 3B ).
Based on the current data of this study we cannot ascertain whether this was actually due to playing ice hockey prior to playing baseball; however, it is interesting to note that the proportion of left-handed batters appears to be higher not only in Canada, but also in US states where hockey participation is higher (differences approached significance with a small to medium ES [ p = .08, Cramer’s V = .08, p = .08]).
