After 105 days in the protocol, the difference in body weight and fat mass between the control and LUN group where highly significant; however, differences in body weight changes from 98 to 105 days did not reach significance Fig. 3B and food intake per g of lean mass was not different ( Fig. 3C ).

In sharp contrast, 24 hours after LPS treatment, the numbers of tissue-infiltrating macrophages were substantially increased by 3–4 folds in a highly significant statistical manner with P -values of 0.04 and 0.006 for CD11b + and F4/80 + cells, respectively ( Figs. 2B and 2C ).
Results of the replication study Four SNPs which showed a statistically significant (rs1202168, rs1045642, rs868755) or borderline significant (rs9282564) association in the German discovery set were typed in an additional set of CRC cases and healthy controls from Germany.
A highly significant effect was seen with subjects treated with angiotensin II receptor antagonists; there were too few of these to analyse the data in the same way, but in the group of all subjects without diabetes being treated with these drugs (n = 24) the correlation between log(urine betaine excretion) and log(plasma homocysteine), Pearson's r = +0.77 (p = 0.00001); if subjects with diabetes are included (n = 34), r = +0.44 (p = 0.009).
a positive trendgold
In ACS subjects with above median betaine excretion a positive trend (r = +0.10) between betaine excretion and homocysteine was not significant; the corresponding correlation in lipid clinic subjects was r = +0.42 (p = 0.0001).
Uncorrected p-values<5 e-07 were taken as very strong proof of genome-wide association, while p-values between 5 e-07 and 5 e-05 were considered as moderately significant associations (Wellcome Trust Case Control Consortium 2007).
In this regard it may be significant that AAA+ proteins function as multimeric assemblies, with the ATPase active sites formed at the interface of protomers.
Second iteration psiBLAST searches of the NCBI database using the Tb13380-predicted polypeptide sequence (713 amino acid residues) identified Drosophila melanogaster (Dme)Orc4 (E-value, 9e-14), and then Orc4 subunits from further organisms at lower, yet highly significant, expectancy values (0.003≤E-value≤1e-13).
On the other hand, if random points are chosen at a scale that includes heterogeneous types of habitat, some of the more general variables are more likely to be significant [e.g. altitude] , [ slope or vegetation cover] ; [ 13,57,65] .
In Nandi, there was a decreasing trend from baseline to second follow-up for the 0–4 year and 5–9 year cohorts.
Among the 222 women for whom hemoglobin concentration was available, only those who were anemic (hemoglobin <110 g/L) showed a benefit of MMN that approached significance ( Table 4 ).
The percentage of oligoastrocytoma in gliomas of the frontal origin (22.5%) showed a trend to be higher than that of non-frontal origin (16.1%), but the difference did not reach statistical significance ( P = 0.066).
Highly significant correlation demonstrated that as more putative resistant alleles pyramided in a germplasm entry, the entry had greater resistance to ShB.
The mesendoderm cell population was predicted to display more interesting dynamics, with a transient increase in cell population over the first day, followed by a decreasing trend over the next few days ( Figure 7D and E ).
A grouped analysis revealed that the repetition of an object in the same color leads to a highly significant acceleration as compared to an object being repeated in a different color.
Hispanic MSM had significantly lower HIV/AIDS knowledge and black non-Hispanic MSM showed a trend towards lower knowledge, compared to White non-Hispanic MSM.
There was a little difference detected for TAP1-1 site in which male showed a trend of association but not in female group ( Table 4 ).
In STAT6 knockout mice, highly significant decrease in the level of IgG1 isotype was reported [38] , [41] .
Among the treatments, the effect of 7-KC was highly significant.
near-significantgold
The contralateral AC and IC show similar significant decreases and near-significant trends in the levels of NR2A, GAD-67 and GABA A α1.
The results suggested that the variants from the same CDKN2B-AS1 locus were likely to be significant for NPG patients.
Two studies reported highly significant TRM during HDCT [11] , [13] , which was higher than HDCT in other studies.
Although in all groups the acidaemia is likely to be mainly of respiratory origin, the lactic component might be significant for the mice euthanized with CO 2 and N 2 O or CO 2 and N 2 [61] .
Because of low sample size (and subsequent power less than 80%), borderline significant results are interpreted conservatively to avoid conclusions based on false negatives.
For example, genes whose expression patterns are validated to be highly significant for predicting disease aggressiveness could be co-registered with imaging and used as a gold standard for identifying imaging biomarkers that assess disease aggressiveness in vivo .
