Although this overlap is highly significant ( P < 1.66e −42 ) it shows that even within the same species larger differences in genes detected to be bound by FoxP3 can be expected either due to the experimental design like cell lines or stimulation or due to genetic and biologic variance.

Segregation analysis gave a highly significant association between the C allele and disease (p = 1.8×10 −42 ).
