Conversely, concentric hypertrophy showed a trend toward greater later mortality and eccentric hypertrophy showed a trend toward greater early and later mortality, but these associations did not reach statistical significance considering a Bonferroni‐corrected P value ( P =0.0083) (Table 4 ).

Comparison of median sMet levels in subjects with no cytologic atypia to those with any degree of atypia (atypia, suspicious for cancer or positive for cancer) showed a trend towards statistical significance (p = 0.0087) but did not meet the significance threshold adjustment for 14 correlative tests (p < 0.0036); these results were further limited as only 48/183 (26.2%) of subjects had cytologic analysis performed.

In the logistic regression model (Table 2 ), intramedullary nail fixation showed a trend toward higher nonunion rates than plate fixation (OR = 2.2, 95% CI: 1.23–4.10, p = 0.009).

In contrast, CMV‐specific IgG antibodies predominantly showed a trend towards lower levels in LC patients, with significantly reduced IgG against the p65 antigen ( p = 0.0090) (Figure 3D ).

Changes in Absolute Cell Number of Dorsal Skin Tissue and ALN The absolute cell number of CD19+, CD4+, CD8+, CD4+/CD69+, and CD23+/B220+ for ALN showed a trend of significant increase in DNCB_CTL compared to NC/Nga_Nr ( ## p < 0.01 or ### p < 0.001 (compared with NC/Nga_Nr)).

A χ 2 test revealed no statistically significant differences in the RBS-R individual item endorsements between UIC and UF samples; however, the item 14 “skin picking” showed a trend for a higher endorsement in the UF sample than in the UIC sample ( χ 2 = 6.68, df = 1, p = 0.010).

Linc-ROR also showed a trend of increasing expression in patients with more advanced clinical phases of ovarian cancer ( P <0.01), while patients with lymph node metastases had higher linc-ROR expression than those without ( P <0.01).

Between-group analyses of EMG activity Compared with the matched healthy controls, cLBP patients showed a trend towards higher magnitude of activity in the resting state (t = 2.60, P = 0.01).

This is in line with a preliminary report of 11 DBN patients which showed a trend (uncorrected data p<0.01) for vermal atrophy (lobules V,VI) [ 42 ].

STE derived parameters of cardiac function showed a trend toward a decrease back to normal values, which was statistically significant (p < 0.01) for circumferential and radial strain and strain rate, while longitudinal strain and strain rate did not reach statistically significance.

As shown in Figure 3 D, 3 weeks post‐lesion, unilateral lesioned rats injected with 6‐OHDA showed a trend of increased contralateral rotation after apomorphine administration compared with the vehicle group ( P < 0.01), but there was no significant difference between the 6‐OHDA group and the 6‐OHDA plus ECH group ( P > 0.05).

Melanomas excised during the pandemic period showed a trend toward a higher Breslow thickness median (1.80 vs. 3.00; p = 0.010) when compared to the prepandemic cohort ( Figure 2 ).

The StartReact effect, which measures the acceleration of a visual reaction time by a loud (startling) sound and has been proposed to assess reticulospinal pathways, 36 showed a trend to increase in the biceps muscle in pCF subjects ( STR_Bic , 38.7 ± 34.1 versus 25.1 ± 12.3 ms, P = 0.010) but did not survive correction for multiple comparisons and was not significantly different in the first dorsal interosseous ( STR_1DI ).

Further, the treatment group also showed a trend to a reduction in fed plasma insulin that was statistically significant on day 14 ( p < 0.01) compared to HFD control (Fig. 4B ).
