Differences in the consumption per year of cookies were also detected; the differences between groups were very close to statistical significance ( p = 0.0510), with higher consumption in children with ASD than in typically developing peers.
After adjustment for multiple comparisons, reported ratings (and thus intensity of symptom) of anxiety approached significance at day 17 (1.0 ± 0.4, p = 0.051) and were significantly lower at the intervention endpoint (1.0 ± 0.3, p = 0.048) as compared to baseline (3.3 ± 1.0).
Experimental) mixed-model ANOVA revealed a significant main effect of Day (F(2,86) = 3.59, p = 0.032) and a Day*Condition interaction that approached significance (F(2,86) = 3.07, p = 0.051).
In European populations ( n = 194), the mean ratio was elevated (0.91 ± 2.59) compared to a meta-mean of 0.54, approaching significance in parametric testing ( t -test, p = 0.051), but with strong non-parametric confirmation (Wilcoxon test, p = 7.54 × 10 −6 ; Binomial test, p = 2.14 × 10 −16 ) and small positive effect size (Cohen’s d = 0.14) (see Figure 3 ). 4.
At the same time, a marginally significant difference ( p = 0.051) indicated that the “Balanced” group exhibited the most interest in environmental friendliness.
When the model was adjusted for age, gender, and BMI, the association of IPA levels remained borderline significant for lobular inflammation ( p = 0.051) and fibrosis ( p = 0.076). 3.2.
Effect of MVMS on DBP A marginally significant lowering effect of MVMS on DBP was observed: The overall effect size (WMD) was −0.71 mmHg (95% CI, −1.43 to 0.00 mmHg; p = 0.051) ( Figure 4 ).
In addition, a strong downward trend in the number of sclerostin-positive osteocytes per bone area was noticed in both bone compartments as turnover increases, reaching borderline significance ( p = 0.051) in trabecular bone.
Plasma Appetite-Related Gut Peptides The LED pdr intervention showed a trend towards a decrease plasma GLP-1 (Week, p = 0.051) ( Table 4 ), without a significant difference between dietary groups (Protein×Week, p = 0.176; CHO×Week, p = 0.675; Protein×CHO×Week, p = 0.600) ( Supplementary Table S1 ).
However, it is important to note that some of the effect sizes, such as the borderline significant total indirect effect observed between TC and ln(HOMA) ( p = 0.051), should be interpreted cautiously.
The four-week change scores for individual mood states did differ significantly for depression (−5.1 ± 1.2 and +2.8 ± 2.6 for the VIN and CON groups; p = 0.006) and approached significance for vigor (+2.4 ± 1.0 and −1.3 ± 2.9 respectively; p = 0.051).
Fasting C-peptide levels showed a marginal trend toward higher values on the day of pelemir-enriched bread consumption (median: 2.1 [0.7–7.1] ng/mL vs. 2.0 [0.6–4.1] ng/mL; p = 0.051).
LNFP III exhibited a gradual decrease over time in Se+/Le+ and Se−Le+ milk ( p < 0.001), with only marginally significant change observed in Se+/Le− milk ( p = 0.051).
When adjusted, 3MS scores did not show a significant association with serum calcium, intact PTH, fetuin-A, T50, the use of cinacalcet, or the use of VDRAs, although the association between 3MS and the use of phosphate binders was at a borderline significance ( p = 0.051).
FGF21 showed a trend ( p = 0.051) in overall change in participants following the LCHF diet after decreasing from a median (IQR) of 148.16 (203.49) to 99.4 (92.43) pg/mL at week 4 and increasing again to 167.38 (152.08) pg/mL at week 8, with post-hoc analysis reporting a trend ( p = 0.069) between baseline and week 4, whereas no change was observed in HCLF.
This significant relationship has also been found for individuals without chronic diseases, although, for those with a chronic disease, the relationship was almost significant ( p -value = 0.051).
In the meantime, the IG demonstrated a marginally significant improvement for poor well-being ( p = 0.051) and a decreased risk for self-reported social anxiety ( p = 0.029) using the group * time interaction term. 4.
In addition, pre-menopausal women with obesity showed a significantly higher chance to have an intermediate chronotype (OR = 2.21, 95% CI 1.28–3.83; p = 0.004), whereas post-menopausal women with obesity showed a trend to have a higher morning chronotype (OR = 1.42, 95% CI 0.98–2.06; p = 0.051), although this did not reach statistical significance.
